Two adorable Studio Cottages located in a cozy, well taken care of campground offering a warm, inviting and safe family feel along the Great Mississippi River in Trempealeau, WI. Watch and hear the barges come into Lock & Dam #6 and freight trains just around the corner from the campground. This area is known for great hiking, (the Great River State Trail), biking, fishing, swimming, skiing, grilling, chillin, reading a book, building a campfire or driving along the Great River Scenic Byway. Welcome to the cozy "glamping experience" at the Studio Cottages. Glamping is defined as camping with glamour or glamorous camping, either way the Studio Cottages offer you the outdoor camping experience with the indoor comforts of home. The studio cottages offer two units side by side so you can rent both sides to accommodate larger families and are located in a quaint campground that offers a cozy quiet setting. OUTSIDE EACH UNIT offers: a large cement patio, picnic table, grill and fire ring. INSIDE EACH UNIT offers: large flat screen TV with over 150 channels of satellite programming, queen size bed with 4" pillow top and memory foam mattress topper, full size sofa bed with 4.5" memory foam mattress with quilted mattress topper, kitchenette that includes a full size fridge/freezer combo, compact microwave, coffee pot & keurig maker, toaster, induction cooktop with cookware, cooking utensils and a peninsula with seating for two. PLEASE NOTE: 1. Bedding & towels are not provided in these "Glamping Units". 2. Bring your own bedding, pillows, kitchen and bathroom towels. 3. Add a 10 piece LINEN Package with 4 pillows (bedding, pillows & towels) for an additional fee if you prefer not to bring your own. Each cottage is decorated for a cozy, warm feel that will help you relax, unplug and enjoy your stay. Your camping adventure awaits. ONE VEHICLE Parking stall is located next to the Cottages. Additional parking is available in the campground overflow parking. Our family lives in the neighborhood so if there would be a problem that couldn't be resolved over the phone we are only minutes away. Our cottages are nestled among beautiful mature trees on a manicured lawn, in Lake Road Campground, with seasonal views of the Great Mississippi River in the sweet town of Trempealeau, Wisconsin. Around the corner from our cottages is the Great River Road Scenic Byway which is voted one of the 10 most scenic drives in America. The Great Mississippi River, rolling hills, beautiful bluffs, tons of foliage, seven spring fed lakes and vast marsh surround our cottage making this home for an abundance of wildlife and host for a wide variety of recreational activities. The Great River State Trail is a 24 mile point-to-point trail located blocks away from our cottage and runs along The Great River Road in Trempealeau, WI. The Trail begins in Marshland, WI, travels past Lake Road Campground and ends south-east of Onalaska, WI. It is designed for foot, bicycle, equestrian or light motorized traffic for all skill levels. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Classic cars, Golf Carts, UTVS, ATVS, motor cycles and especially bicycles explore Lake Road Campground all season long. All of these types of transportation are encouraged on any Village road of 35 mph or less. Bring your boat to enjoy one of the 5 lakes located along Lake Road or head out on the Great Mississippi River from the public boat landing around the corner from the Lake Road Campground. Enjoy the public swimming pool, parks, championship golf course, incredible library, sweet hometown shoppes, cafes and supper clubs. Stay in town to relax and play or explore other towns along the Great River Road Scenic Byway: 13 minutes to Holmen, WI 20 minutes to Onalaska, WI 25 minutes to La Crosse, WI 30 minutes to Winona, MN 25 minutes to Arcadia, WI (not located along the Scenic Byway but this drive has incredible views and rolling hills) PLEASE NOTE: Bring your own bedding, kitchen and bathroom towels.
