Secluded on a cul-de-sac and down a long driveway, your retreat home is nestled in the heart of a half-acre of towering redwoods, oaks, and pines. The impeccable interior design is adorned with the owner’s original artwork and personal touches that embody the comfort of this cozy home away from home. Relax in the window bed or on the many decks that offer breathtaking views of the natural surroundings. Sit out on the master bedroom deck at night to stargaze while the ocean calls in the distance. Soak in the hot tub at will. Fire up the wood-burning stove on the cool nights and enjoy the romantic setting of this quiet utopia. The cabin also includes all new appliances. What's nearby: Explore the surrounding woods and endless hiking trails that were once the settlement of the Pomo Indians along the Pomo Creek that sits directly behind the home. If you wander on the trail you can see signs of their settlement in the many round grinding holes in the rocks around the property and by the creek. Within a 15-minute walk to the bluff trails down Sala Creek Trail or along Cypress Tree-lined Halcyon you can experience dramatic ocean overlooks, with breathtaking sunsets and teaming with ocean life including whales, seas lions, seals, otters, and birds. A short two-mile drive to the Gualala River and downtown shopping. For more local exploring or day trips drive up the coast to Point Arena Lighthouse, Bowling Ball Beach, Manchester, or take a lazy drive up the coast and spend the day in quaint Mendocino 40 miles to the north. Two great spaces for work or study with high-speed internet. Play music, board games, a round of golf (property borders the 14th hole), enjoy browsing through the library, DVD collection, board games, or just chill. Perfect location for the many Sea Ranch amenities including Del Mar Recreation Center for swimming, water aerobics, and tennis. Things to know: Free WiFi Full kitchen Private gas grill Wood-stove Parking notes: Your check-in packet includes your Sea Ranch parking passes. The Sea Ranch Association only allows two passes per reservation. Parking passes are for cars parked within the Sea Ranch community (at the rec centers, hiking trails, etc.) and must be visible inside vehicles. Most (not all) of our houses will accommodate more than two vehicles. For guests with more than two cars, any additional car(s) can be used to go to and from the house without a pass but will need to remain in the driveway otherwise. On-street parking is not permitted. Most of our homes will not accommodate more than three cars. RVS OF ANY MAKE/SIZE ARE PROHIBITED AT SEA RANCH AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO EVEN BE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out.
