Cozy Cottage

1400 square foot Cozy Cottage located near Hunt, TX, right off HWY 39, across from the Schumacher Guadalupe river crossing. We live in the main house on the same property, which sits on 2.25 acres of land. The cottage is fully furnished, with comfortable beds, a fire place in the living room, and a wonderful screened in porch. We are neighbors and The Hideout (a studio apartment) is located on the same property, it can be use along with Cozy Cottage for additional guests. Public river access across HYW 39 (3-5 minute walk). Cottage comfortably accommodates 4-6 guests. Wheel chair accessible ramp up to the house, hallways and doorways are also wide. Screened in porch, screened doors, and windows offer the opportunity for lots of fresh air. Full kitchen with lots of essentials and storage to accommodate all of your cooking needs. We are pet friendly (maximum of 2), please send us a message to let us know if you are bringing your pet. If your fur baby might chew or scratch, keep him/her in the kennel if left alone is highly appreciated. If you must leave your dog at the Cottage for more than 30 minutes, they must be in a kennel. There is a $10 fee per pet per night with a maximum of $100/per stay. This fee will be added after your stay is confirmed. Please be aware that our property is NOT fully fenced. The ideal dog potty area is towards the back of the property. You will receive complimentary farm fresh eggs from our chickens for your stay, subject to availability. Cleaning fee for long term stay (14 days of stay or more) is $200. The cleaning fee for short term stay is $80 and it is automatically charged at booking, the additional $120 will be charged as Extra Services after booking is confirmed. Long term stay is allowed for up to a maximum of 4 persons. You will have full access to the entire cottage. Laundry room will be available for long-term guests. The garage will remain locked, since we use it for personal storage. Little kids' bikes/ride on toys available upon request. Other toys can be found in the 2nd bedroom closet. The TV has an Amazon firestick available for streaming services. Your own log in is required. ***Please remember to sign out of your Amazon account prior leaving. You might see our 2 boys playing outside in the front yard on weekends, so please drive on the property with care. Feel free to call or text if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable. Self check in with Key box. Our cat, Mitten, free roams in the yard, she is a black and white cat, very friendly. She might meow by the door because she wants to say or and get her back rubbed, feel free to say hi to her. We have a Border Aussie, Sky and Doberman Mix named Jak. You might see them out in the evening playing fetch. We do have chickens free roaming on the property, please pay attention to your fur baby while being outside, if there are chances that they will be chased, please keep him on the leash. When letting your dog out to potty, try to encourage them to go near the side of the property by the fence, because my kids like playing outside and wouldn’t want them to step on any of the mess :) We have personal things in the garage in the back of the cottage. We will do our best to not get things out during your stay, however, if for some reason we need access to the garage, we will send a text prior coming over. The cottage sits in a quiet and family friendly picturesque neighborhood in Hunt, Texas. About 20 minutes from Kerrville for your shopping and entertainment needs, walking distance to river access. Please park on the driveway designated for the cottage.
