This Cape Cod cottage offers four cheerful bedrooms, two bathrooms, a charming open concept kitchen-living room and a kitchenette-games room. The cottage is an eclectic mix of comfortable elegance and country charm. Unique and individual, Starlit Cove Cottage incorporates the delightful use of local and sustainable green materials. Rooms are enriched with pine ceilings and cedar trim, accented with flagstone and slate. Natural elements are meticulously integrated throughout including Douglas Fir beam work and wool area rugs which cushion pine and bamboo floors. The eastern cedar patio-bar and balcony invite you to enjoy the breeze while taking in the view of the majestic Lake Huron outstretched into the distance. Enjoy the panorama by stepping down onto the warm sandy beach. Meander down the boardwalk leading to the water's edge and sit on the dock. In this pristine environment, you might encounter visiting ducks, hummingbirds, blue jays, herons, chipmunks, rabbits, dragonflies, bass, and turtles. Discover native lakeside flora such as Pitcher Plants, Water Lilies, Fringed Gentians, and Orchids. Refresh yourself while stealthily kayaking the cove or saunter half a kilometer down the road with the children to find a sandy public beachfront. As the skies become starlit, heat up the BBQ and linger at the patio bar with a drink. Sit quietly and you may see flying squirrels hunting for sunflower seeds or the glow of flickering fireflies. Hear the songs of the frogs as the campfire crackles. Water Lily Suite: Situated on the main floor, this suite is named after the lily which floats in the channel at the end of the dock. Pitcher Plant Bedroom: This lovely green bedroom features a queen size bed and a gorgeous view of the harbour, named after a unique bog flower on the Bruce Peninsula. Fringed Gentian Bedroom: Particularly conducive to spending quiet time reading or watching a video, this blue and the butter-yellow bedroom has two single size beds which invite you to sit and relax during the day or cozy up for a good night's sleep. The Fringed Gentian room is named after a gorgeous blue-purple flower which you might find growing by the waterfront. Lakeside Daisy Bedroom: An enchanting spacious bedroom. Relax on the couch, which unfolds into a double bed. Cuddle in for the night in the queen-size bed and awaken to the rising sun and the sound of lapping waves as they greet you in the morning. Spectacular! This gold-colored room is named after an endangered daisy, now scarce on the Peninsula, but with a small presence on Manitoulin Island. While in "The Tub" you can access nature walks, adventurous diving opportunities, sunset glass-bottom boat cruises, and see the docking of the Chi-cheemaun ferry. Discover the natural beauty of the area's distinct flora and fauna, or catch what the Bruce Peninsula National Park has to offer, including the renowned Singing Sands beach. Hike or stroll the Bruce Trail past rocky shores, shear escarpment cliffs, and clear aquamarine Georgian Bay. Cast a rod and catch a fish in the bay. Swing a club at a nearby golf course.
