GREAT ROOM Decorated with mountain lodge furniture and super comfy couches in front of the custom built fireplace, lovingly constructed from stones harvested straight from the property's creek! A stash of firewood has been provided for you. You may purchase additional bundles from us should you require more. Our large QLED Samsung Smart Tv, soundbar and blu ray player is perfect for movie nights. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Disney + is connected. Enjoy the open concept living room/dining experience with a gorgeous view of the kitchen. Perfect for entertaining! KITCHEN Fully stocked with spices, oils, pots and pans and other key cooking tools, this is a kitchen for guests who LOVE to cook. Granite countertops, farmhouse sink, brand new appliances, new gas stove, an instapot, ninja blender, a toaster, coffee maker, grinder and dishwasher are yours to use. Coffee and tea is also available for you to enjoy. Water throughout the house is triple filtered and safe to drink. BEDROOMS The bedrooms feature a king (primary) with a full bath ensuite, and 2 queens respectively. They are Nectar memory foam mattresses with 100% goose down comforters. Closets are extremely roomy. BATHROOMS The main bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and a beautiful, modern stand up steamer/shower. The vessel sink is made from petrified wood found on the property and estimated to be 100 years old. Primary bedroom has a full bathroom with a similar shower stall. Both have rainfall shower heads and hand-held showers. WASHER & DRYER available! DECK Large, adirondack styled wrap around porch with comfy and rustic furniture. Start your morning sipping coffee here and reading a book while listening to the sound of the creek. We have a large propane BBQ grill at your service comfy patio furniture to dine outside on. Outdoor shower, sink and outdoor fridge are not available during the winter. HOTUB Our enormous luxury hot tub will bring you to new depths of refreshment. Protected by our screened in porch, evening dips here are delightful when lit by the Spin-a-fire fireplace by it. You'd think you were in a mountain lodge in the Swiss Alps! OUTDOORS In the full spread of spring, summer and most of the fall you will feel wonderfully secluded in the foresty glen that surrounds our home by the creek. We have a metal fire-pit to sing and toast marshmallows by. To the left of the creek you will find carefully placed stone steps to sit by. Further down, you will find a beautiful stone slate rock formation that welcomes you to a magical small hiking trail right on the property by the creek. WI-FI AND CELL SERVICE Wifi is fast and reliable. Cellphones will require wifi assistance. Please activate and test wifi calling before arriving. Cell service is generally poor around the area though Verizon seems to hold up the best. PRIVACY The house is situated on 1.6 acres located at the very end of a shared road. It is adjacent to an additional 3 acres of hiking by the creek during the warmer seasons. There is a separate private road that provides additional point of entry and exit. Please be mindful of our neighbors and use the private road as much as possible. When using the shared road, drive slowly as our neighbors dogs and children may be at play. SECURITY Cameras are located on the outside of the house pointed at the front door, driveways and patio outside entry doors. There are NO cameras inside the house or pointed at the hot tub. Entire house We do not live in the area but local help is available nearby from our property manager should emergencies arise. We respond to all calls and messages and have a local contact to help if necessary. Pond Eddy, United States Located off New York State Route 97 in Pond Eddy, a hamlet in Sullivan County, New York, the property is minutes away from Hawk’s Nest, a picturesque winding road along the Delaware River named for the birds of prey that nest in the area. Pond Eddy is a burgeoning community, rich with history. Its topography is punctuated by scenic overlooks, elegant historic architecture and bucolic panoramic views of the river. In the last several years the areas around Pond Eddy have undergone a good deal of development and small business growth as well, melding both new and old structures into the framework that’s making up the revived Lower Catskills area. You will find a variety of spring and summer water sports such as kayaking and canoeing along the Delaware and white water rapids on the Mongaup River. The Metro North line is just 11 miles over in Port Jervis NY and will take you to NYC. You will need a car to get around. Pond Eddy is a hamlet of Sullivan County, NY, and our property is conveniently located off NY State 97. We are less than a two hour drive from the New York City metropolitan area and accessible by train (the MTA Metro-North Port Jervis station is only a short 15 minute taxi ride from the property). Rental cars and taxi service are available nearby. Guests are required to be ID verified on the Airbnb platform. Please be sure to answer all prebooking questions. The neighborhood is rural with neighbors spread amply away from each other. You will feel serenely secluded but not far from resources and help should you need it. The property is situated on 1.6 acres of land with a beautiful creek stocked with fish flowing through it. Large river stone steps have been carefully placed to visit the water, and a trail leads to the grotto and a small hiking trail by the creek that leads to 3 more acres of land to explore. In the spring and summer the trees are full and lush offering immense privacy. Grocery stores, farmers markets and shopping is all nearby with summer and winter hiking and activities. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Ski Big Bear, Narrowsburg and more are a short drive away.
