WELCOME TO APPLE VALLEY G1 “CAPTAIN’S QUARTERS” at gorgeous Lake Cumberland! "This condo is offered for rent by an individual owner, not the Apple Valley Condo Association." Apple Valley is not in the condo renting business, and only a handful of owners choose to share their units with lucky guests, who return year after year! We are so happy to share our Lake Cumberland home-away-from-home with your family! I have been coming to Apply Valley since I can remember and can't imagine going anywhere else! Apple Valley G-1 is in a gated community conveniently located at the ENTRANCE TO LAKE CUMBERLAND STATE RESORT PARK! G-1 HAS NO STEPS TO OUR CONDO! This makes for easy loading and unloading !! See the pictures that show the condo path from the front door to the road! You don't get this from many other condos at Apple Valley. G-1 has WIFI IN THE UNIT! Don't underestimate the need for WIFI during your stay and a smart TV in each bedroom for late night movies:) WE are close to the pool, clubhouse, grilling shelter, and playground. We just purchased G-1 and have renovated it from top to bottom! Our condo sleeps 6 comfortably with a sleeper sofa (upgraded gel mattress), second bathroom and private balcony on the entry level. Bedroom 1 - King Master Suite with private balcony and new "bistro" table and chairs. Bedroom 2 - Queen Guest Bedroom connects to the shared bathroom. Each bedroom has separate bath access, so you do not have to walk through your guest's space to use the bathroom at night. LINENS AND TOWELS PROVIDED to accommodate six. Bring beach towels! There will be a started supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soap products and trash bags for your convenience, but please be sure to bring more of these items if you're staying more than just a weekend at Apple Valley. APPLE VALLEY IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET AT LAKE CUMBERLAND! Apple Valley Resort is a privately owned community with a security gate, and most owners choose NOT to rent their units, keeping them as family summer getaways. There is a security gate requiring a code for entry. Apple Valley G-1 is located on 72 wooded acres in Apple Valley Resort, 145 State Park Road, just after you turn onto the LAKE CUMBERLAND STATE PARK road. BOAT PARKING: Bring your boat and you can either park it in the designated parking area at Apple Valleys gated community or rent a boat slip at the State Dock and leave it there for your stay! *No fishing boats/boats that require a charge are permitted at Apple Valley. Charging of batteries is prohibited on the premises or in the condo unit. Apple Valley G-1 offers a large pool with a diving board, chaise lounges and umbrella tables. There is a lighted basketball court and playground for the kids! The coin operated washers and dryers are located in the lower level of the clubhouse, right by the pool. None of the Apple Valley Condos have washer/dryers in the units. You will enjoy the covered picnic area (light and fans) with family size stainless steel gas grills, located right next to the playground, pool and clubhouse. There's a CAMPFIRE RING too and rocking chairs. RELAX!! You can even hike to the lake if you are adventurous! BOAT LAUNCH: You can launch your boat at Lake Cumberland State Park or the Wolf Creek Dam. They provide access to two completely different lake experiences. For kayaking or a quick spot to jump in the lake, go to Rowena Ferry Road - less than 1/4 mile fro your condo's entrance, just off State Park Road ! Ski-boat, fishing boat and pontoon rental are available for your family's fun time just down the road at the State Park Marina or Jamestown Marina. Known as the “Houseboat Capital of the World”, Lake Cumberland is big, crystal clear and a vacation paradise for fishermen, boaters, and those that just like to sit back and enjoy the view. Russell County is home to four commercial marinas providing boat rentals and lake side restaurants. FISHING: Ready to catch the big one? Lake Cumberland offers trophy-size stripers and hold the state records for brown and rainbow trout and walleye. For fly fishermen, the Cumberland River below Wolf Creek Dam offers some of the best trout fishing anywhere. Hatchery Creek is located below Lake Cumberland immediately behind the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery. The creek starts from the cold water outflow of the hatchery and flows over 6,000 feet before joining the Cumberland River. Hatchery Creek starts as a maintained park-like fishing area for the first 400 feet from the hatchery outflow, to a small waterfall. This is Upper Hatchery Creek where you can keep up to 5 trout, with no size limit. From the waterfall and downstream is Lower Hatchery Creek where sport fishing regulations limit anglers to artificial lures, and catch and release only. -CANOE/KAYAK RENTAL below Wolf Creek Dam. Canoe in the Cumberland River, or Lake Cumberland. Paddle to Paradise Island! -SHOPPING: Browse through our many antique, craft, and specialty shops in downtown Russell Springs and Jamestown.
