The Theodore Friendly House was built in 1880 in the Queen Anne style with Eastlake details throughout. Located in the Near Westside National Historic District, which is a prime location near Downtown Elmira's shops, restaurants, theaters, museums, arena, churches, and bars. Handy drive to Mark Twain Gravesite, Newtown Battlefield, National Soaring Museum, Corning Museum of Glass, Finger Lakes wineries, and Watkins Glen International. All are welcome! This apartment is the entire ground floor of the house, including a living room, front parlor, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and back yard. Walking distance to Elmira College, and an easy drive to Ithaca College, Cornell University and Mansfield University. Additional guests are welcome, remembering city sound ordinance begins at 9 PM. House trained dogs are also welcome, but no cats, please. Smoking is permitted in the back yard only. Off street parking is also available. Laundry facilities are located in the basement. The back yard is fully fenced, and is also available to enjoy. A Keurig with coffee and tea is available in the kitchen, as is a continental breakfast. Elmira's Near Westside Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places due to its large concentration of Victorian architecture.
