Fond Memories is a beautifully appointed 2-bedroom 2.5-bathroom villa, located on the hilltop of Governor's Harbour, and overlooking the harbour waters in the distance below. This contemporary property is part of the distinguished Governor's Harbour Collection, a select group of top-tier rentals in central Eleuthera. The ground floor of Fond Memories is open planned and spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances and a kitchen island with counter-top seating. The main dining area (with seating for 6) is perfect for family dinners or for entertaining, while the comfortable sitting and living area, with its beautifully custom-built entertainment unit and Cable/Smart TV, is a wonderful space to relax and unwind after a day exploring the island! The ground floor also has a powder room. Both bedrooms at Fond Memories are located upstairs and include en-suite bathrooms and fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom features a King bed and the second bedroom contains two twin beds that easily covert to a second King, with plush mattress topper. An additional single cot style bed (with inflatable mattress) can be added to this room for a 5th guest. The outdoor deck on the upstairs level at Fond Memories offers beautiful views of the idyllic harbor below and is a wonderful place to unwind with a glass of wine while watching the sun go down. Downstairs, there is an outdoor patio with table and chairs - a lovely spot for al-fresco dining, while enjoying the tropical, landscaped garden. At Fond Memories, we aim to provide our guests with an eco-friendly rental experience. All cleaning is done using only plant-based, chemical free products that are not tested on animals (including disinfecting all hard surfaces between rentals). We use LED light bulbs to reduce energy consumption, and provide our guests with recycled paper supplies (paper towels, toilet paper), as well as reusable grocery bags. Amenities include A/C throughout, SMART TV with cable plan and Netflix included plus Apple TV, high-speed internet with WiFi, a printer/scanner for business needs, Sonos system with iPad, smart phone (with local service and data plan), laundry room with Washer/Dryer, Bluetooth speaker, and a gas grill. A new, in-ground pool and garden deck were completed at the start of January 2022! Beach towels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and cooler bag are also included with the rental. For parents travelling with infants and young toddlers, Fond Memories does include a pack n' play with mattress topper and high-chair for your convenience. Fond Memories can be rented along with other homes on Governors Estate to accommodate larger groups. Daily housekeeping, private chef, and other concierge services are always available on the estate for an additional charge. The town of Governors Harbour, a three-minute walk down the hill, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic.
