Adorable little cottage on the diversional canal with a spectacular view, brand new huge 2 story deck, multiple beds, wifi, fireplace, flat screen tv, and cute vintage decor! This is a “golf cart” only community on an island :) golf cart provided! Very peaceful and private. A unique unforgettable experience! Looking for a romantic getaway from the crazy hustle and bustle of the city life? Or how about a unique experience with friends and family? The Cottage on the Bayou is a hidden gem in south Louisiana. Tucked away on Three Rivers Island, you will find an adorable white cottage with a pink door. Step inside and make yourself at home! This vintage inspired cottage is fully furnished with a living area, dining room, kitchen, 1 bedroom, 2 lofts (one with a twin mattress and one with a queen mattress) , a twin pull out sofa, and a bathroom. In the kitchen you will find a beautiful brand new farmhouse sink, a full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven, toaster, microwave, pots, pans, coffee mugs, cups, wine glasses, plates, bowls, utensils, paper towels, general cleaning supplies, & more! We also provide coffee, creamer, sugar, tea, chocolates, and wine. As well as fresh linens, extra blankets, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and his-and-her robes. You may also enjoy our wifi, flat screen tv, fire place, board games, kids toys, cards, and our community pool directly across the cottage! Our favorite part of the cottage? THE VIEW!!!! Picture sipping coffee in the mornings (or wine!) on our brand new HUGE 2 story deck overlooking the Diversion Canal! It is breath taking!! Also there are plenty of great cajun restaurants close by, fun bars with live music on the water, and the Cajun village has a great Louisiana inspired store to get your tourist goodies :) I will provide you with a list of restaurants and entertainment recommendations upon your arrival! You have access directly across the cottage to the community pool. This is also a golf cart/walking only community so you will have access to your own golf cart to use when on the island. This cottage is accessed through self check in. You will have a lock box with a code that has the key to the cottage and the golf cart. If you have any questions or concerns I am available via air bnb messages This the perfect area if you are looking to be on the water and in nature. Bring fishing poles if you’d like, rent a boat for the day, or just enjoy our amazing 2 story deck over looking the water! Also there are plenty of great cajun restaurants close by, fun bars with live music on the water, and the Cajun village has a great Louisiana inspired store to get your tourist goodies :) I will provide you with a list of restaurants and entertainment recommendations upon your arrival! This is a GOLF CART/WALKING community only! Upon your arrival, you will be given directions on where to park your car and we will have a golf cart in the parking lot waiting for you. You will use this golf cart to get to and from your cottage! Please be sure to read all of the golf cart rules, etc in the handbook provided when you book. This cottage is on the bayou surrounded by nature! So you can expect to see little critters every now and then; ranging from all sorts of wildlife! Such as: egrets, squirrels, possums, armadillos, deer, insects, snakes, and so much more! You might even spot a gator in the water! This charming little cottage is also very old and sensitive. :) So please mindful of that when inside. It has been freshly painted and has a few updates, but it still has its quirks! So please be sure to follow directions noted inside of the cabin and treat the cottage with tender love and care :)
