This charming home was built in 1854 and is within walking distance to Flintfields Horse Park, home of the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival and the American Gold Cup. The home is fully equipped with all the amenities needed for your convenience and comfort. Master bedroom has a King bed and private balcony. Bedrooms #2 and #3 have one Queen bed each. Home is perched on highest point in four counties with panoramic views in all directions. Close to shopping, beaches, golf courses, wineries, restaurants, casino and parks, but nestled in a peaceful, rural area. The space This historic farm house is full of character and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people with 3 bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. There is a fully equipped, spacious kitchen and dinning area with breakfast nook open to a cozy living room with a large smart TV and satellite channels, wi-fi and air-conditioning. Outside you can enjoy spectacular views from the private balcony that is accessible by exterior stairs or from the master bedroom, or dine out on the deck with your choice of gas or charcoal grills. Enjoy the morning with a hot cup of coffee on the quiet front porch surrounded by flowers and a huge variety of birds taking turns at the feeders. Your dogs will appreciate the fenced in back yard to run around free from a leash. Scenic views stretch in every direction and there is a large bon fire pit with plenty of wood for family fun and story-telling around a campfire. The home is located on a private working farm and you are invited to say hello to the horses, goat, barn cats and chickens. It is our pleasure to share our fresh garden produce with guests and we invite you to pick the fruit and berries when in season. We live just a few miles away, but are on location several times a day to take care of the farm. We love the Traverse City area and can make some great recommendations for things to do, places to eat and must see locations. We are located approximately a 1/2 mile north from the entrance to the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival at Flintfields Horse Park. We specialize in accommodating trainers, barn owners and competitors and focus on making your stay as comfortable and restful as possible so you can focus on being the best at what you do :) We also have the potential to offer extra pasture space to give your equine partner a quiet place to stretch, graze and relax before the next competition. Please don't hesitate to inquire if interested in taking advantage of this unique offering. We offer a 5% discount for all reservations made for 28 days or more, and 10% for any reservations 8 weeks or longer. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home with exception of the basement and a locked storage room. The fully stocked kitchen will have all the appliances, dishes, pots and pans needed to prepare meals. Featuring granite counter tops, hard wood floors, stainless steel appliances and custom cabinetry. Basic amenities such as coffee, tea, reverse osmosis filtered water, common spices and condiments are provided, in addition to paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex, soap, shampoo, conditioner, linens and towels, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, extra blankets and pillows. Laundry room is equipped with washer and dryer and large utility sink. In addition, both gas and charcoal grills are available on the deck, as well as lawn furniture and a large bonfire pit with plenty of free wood for your use. Guests are welcome to walk around the property and enjoy the scenery and animals. The barn and pastures are for owner's private use unless other arrangements are made ahead of time. Other things to note The farm house was built in 1854 and has a rich and colorful history. It has been fully renovated within recent years, however, many rooms still have the original plaster walls and there are some quirky little things about the house that make it both interesting and charming, but also require a certain amount of appreciation for old things, and therefore may not be best suited for young children. This is a non-smoking, dog friendly home, and a working farm. We have horses, goats, barn cats and free ranging poultry. (Cats are never allowed in the house). We pride ourselves on offering spotless clean accommodations and go above and beyond normal protocol for enhanced cleaning recommendations to ensure your safety and peace of mind. We leave additional cleaning supplies in the house for your use and offer additional cleaning services throughout your stay as requested after your arrival.
