Primitive camping near Nashville at a secluded hilltop nestled in a hardwood forest on a hill. Flat areas for tents, and trees for hammocks. Choose your favorite of multiple unique sites upon arrival (individual sites not numbered). Supply your own camping gear, tent, hammock, stove. Amenities: 2 water hydrants, fire pits at each site, firewood bundle, vault toilet. Outdoor hot water for shower (Apr-Oct), except freezing winter temperatures. No extra charge for children. Drive to camp site. Camping located north of downtown Nashville on a ridge at a higher elevation overlooking Nashville. Camp away from noisy highways, yet convenient to I65, grocery stores & restaurants, & coffee shops. 5 miles from three I65 exits. 14 miles from I24. 18 miles from I40. 18 miles from Nashville downtown riverfront. Camping is located at the Goodlettsville - Hendersonville boundary north of Long Hollow Pike. Several routes are available to various locations. Hogans Branch Rd is popular for biking, though it is hilly, curvy, without bike lanes or shoulders. The location offers a sense of being remote. Long Hollow Winery & Vineyard is 4 miles. Authentic Coffee Co. is 3.7 miles. The hilltop is convenient to amenities in Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, and White House. 5 miles to Publix, Kroger, restaurants, and other amenities in Goodlettsville. Nashville MTA (public transportation) is available at I65 exit 97. Mileage references: I65 exit 97 Long Hollow Pike 5.5 mi, I65 exit 98 HWY 31W 5.5 mi, I65 exit 104 HWY 257 4.7 mi, Old Hickory Lake 8 mi, Downtown Nashville Broadway 19 mi, Opry Mills 19 mi, Nashville Airport 25 mi. Please be comfortable driving your automobile up & down a one lane steep gravel road. Only the beginning beyond the first curve is steep. Anything you can't see beyond there is not steep. I drive a car & truck up and down the hill. Parking is available by the road at the entrance if preferred.
