Experience the authentic nomadic Bedouin lifestyle. Complete with the soothing sound of Arabian horses grazing outside your tent! Your own private horse, cow and cat watching safari! Beautiful view of Mt. Spokane, entertainment provided by 10 farm cats romping through the grass who are super friendly and happy to snuggle. A true animal lover's paradise! *Due to safety considerations, horses will not be grazing outside the tent if any guests are under 5. Ask about a farm tour extra for $30. ***Note county wide burn ban in effect for the 2021 season, we will provide a propane fire pit and propane burner as a safe alternative** A turn key authentic camping experience. Stay in our brand new bell tent decorated in hand curated nomadic boho decor. Tent sleeps 4, plus 2 camping pads provided for extra children who bring their own sleeping bags and pillows. This is real camping! Cooking over a real wood fire or a propane fire pit during burn bans, washing your dishes and hands in the creek with eco-friendly soap and taking a short hike to the porta potty is part of this camping experience. Enjoy the convenience of a set up tent on a sand pad with real mattresses and linens, all camping gear provided except for a cooler and ice. Although sauna hot midday and late afternoon, the tent cools off at sunset and stays amazingly cool at night on hot summer nights and does not get hot until mid morning. A hammock in the shade is provided for daytime naps. Situated on a 20 acre farmstead, camping property is a separate parcel and entrance away from the host residence, boasting abundant trees and a year round creek, wildflowers until early July, bird songs and bird watching opportunities, free range poultry, and friendly horses and cats roaming free. Each evening, listen to the coyotes howl, the owls hoot, crickets chirp, frogs croak (spring). Rural yet 2 miles from grocery store and fast food. Occasionally you will hear noisy air traffic or train crossing the tracks, but it is rare. We may have other campers using other campsites on the property. Please note that during the week, you will most likely have the entire grounds to yourself or shared with only a few other groups for a more private experience. On busy summer weekends, expect to share the 5 acre grounds with several groups, on holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day) guests will experience a more social festive atmosphere. Quiet time is 10 pm, as the property is shared with other guests and the owners live on site, please consider others on site after dark. If you arrive after 10 pm head straight to the tent and make yourself at home, solar lights mark the path to the trail used to access the tent. The property is next to an airfield so it is urban bright at night, by no means pitch dark. We are in the wild west and guns are common in our neighborhood, people target shoot and shoot predators attacking livestock including unsupervised wandering dogs, however there are no guns on the property listed. Due to livestock and coyotes watch dogs carefully when off leash. Dogs are not allowed in or near the tent, while in the campsite, they must be crated, in the car or tethered away from the tent. If you have an unaltered male dog he may find my spayed female Coonhound irresistible, please keep intact male dogs on a leash or supervised with an e-collar so they don't follow her to my house. Dogs that do not have recall or are prone to wander will be asked to stay on a leash at all times. We offer pony rides, farm tours, nature hikes, guitar camp fire sing along, propane fire pit during burn bans, and s'mores kits, our farm raised ground beef, farm fresh eggs, and hotdog or hamburger kits, and Inflatable SUP rental to paddleboard Medical Lake 10 minutes away for additional fees. Check out our Airbnb Experiences and book and pay host direct for a guest discount when you stay. Text or call if needed. Very private and hands off otherwise after greeting. I do check in once a day on multi night stays. Private space away from main house. We do have other campers using other campsites on the property, 7 spaces spread out over 5 park like acres. Generally 4-6 are occupied. Rural feel yet close to town and grocery store. Lakes for swimming and fishing 10 minute drive away. Riverside State Park is 15 minutes away. Car Please read the listing thoroughly, I do not issue refunds after arrival for anything mentioned in this listing. Please do not knock on neighbor's doors looking for check in, let yourself in and make yourself at home. Please note that during hot summer days it is very hot inside during the day, not the best for naps. Temps plummet after 7:00 p.m. and it's nice and refreshingly cool at night. We have a very friendly large loud Coonhound name Charlie who greets visitors and lets us know someone has arrived. She is super friendly and submissive to guests and visiting dogs despite her loud bay. Her small companion Cricket has little dog syndrome and does not appreciate dog aggressive dogs or small children picking her up. Not recommended for children under 4. Camping property ends at the creek, please do not cross the creek or the bridge across the creek. The rural area of our region is habitat for rodents, ticks (May and June only) and mosquitoes. We stock bug stray to repel insects. I have confirmed we do not have the species of tick that carry tick-borne diseases in our area. Tent is equipped with bug spray for your convenience. No running water, porta potty and bottled water provided, as well as coffee and cream for our guests' use. The only thing NOT provided for camping is a cooler and ice. Other than personal care products and food, we provide everything you need. Please let us know if we've missed anything.
