THE BE JOLLY BED & PUB a UNIQUE COMBINATION

The Be Jolly House (built in 1890) was built at the turn of the 19th century. It was restored with the intent to return you to that period, the late 1800's, early 1900's charm, decor, and ambiance. We're located in a rural setting in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains located under a half hour from both the scenic Hudson River, Ski Windham, state hiking trails & hunting and only 45 minutes from Albany, Kingston, and Hunter Ski Resort. There is a small gliding airport only 3 minutes away. The Be Jolly House is detached and separate from the PUB (next door)and unique in many aspects. It's decor is self evident, but most pronounced is that it is not a BED & BREAKFAST. It has a completely equipped kitchen for your convenience and use, a deli across the street( serving breakfast), a pizza / ice cream shoppe a very short walk away. The most unique, unusual difference is that The Freehold Country Pub next door owns and operates it. The PUB is a family oriented upscale, casual eatery offering both lunch, dinner, and a late night bar menu as well a a full line of non alcohol, liquor, and draft / bottled beer assortments. The PUB also offers a complimentary (FREE) shuttle car service to all our patrons and house guests. Hence our name is the " Be Jolly Bed and Pub" The UNISEX HAIR & NAIL SALON is located of the rear left side of the deck. It is a fully equipped two station salon. You will have access to the required bedrooms and entire common areas of the house, excluding the hair salon. For more information please contact the Wayne at the Freehold Country Pub. We have two golf courses within two miles and another four within 1/2 hours drive. The Fox Woods Blue Grass Festival is located about 6 miles from the Be Jolly House among many other festivals and county fairs in the area close by. The City of Hudson and Village of Catskill are close by with many unique antique shops among other venues. The Town of Woodstock is only 45 minutes drive, the home of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. The "Maiden of the Hudson River Boat" departure point is close by for a trip up or down the Hudson River. And of course we now have The River's Gambling and Sports Betting Casino in Schenectady less than an hours drive. And then there is Saratoga Raceway open mid-July to early September for you horse racing enthusiasts about 1 1/2 hours drive. These are only a few of the entertaining and exciting events that occur each year in the Catskill Mountains and surrounding areas. This is a rural community so, excluding the services close by, most everything else requires a vehicle. There are pharmacies, fast food ( Mac Donald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut), box stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart, Tractor Supply, gas & repair stations, as well as many other amenities and privately owned retail outlets within a reasonable distance. Remember we do have a shuttle service by reservation only. The Be Jolly Bed and Pub is nestled in the hamlet of Freehold which is a small, quiet, residential community over looking the Catskill Mountains surrounded by commercial establishments as well.
