You will be immersed in the Stillwater River’s serenity. Overlooking the majestic, flowing water, the cottage is minutes from the Dayton airport, Miami Valley North Hospital, I-70 and many amenities within a mile. Cozy and familiar you enjoy sumptuous comfort in a homely and time-honoured style. You will enjoy your private, riverside cottage complete with full kitchen, screened in porch and all of the amenities of home. Enjoy a picturesque setting along the Stillwater River from the comfort of your own living room with up to 5 of your dearest friends and loved ones. When the weather permits take a dip in the river or just gaze from the pier. Our property is constructed of an old barn and farm cottage built in 1936 which were connected by a large atrium decades ago. You will be renting the cottage which is complete with 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen with dining nook, living room, a library, a sitting room off of the kitchen with panoramic windows of the river, and over an acre to roam. This unique little getaway is perfect for a romantic getaway, business travelers, stay-cations (we offer a locals discount), or extended stays. The home is fully furnished in a park-like setting for you to enjoy. The North Cottage, the property, the Stillwater River, and atrium. This is a shared property. Our family lives in the south house so at a minimum we'll say “Hello.” The Stillwater River Lodge is located down a private tree lined lane accentuated by tall grasses and lots of lively farm animals. Several metro parks complete with hiking and biking trails can be found within jogging or biking distance. With a plethora of local boutiques and restaurants located close by, you can be sure you staying here is convenient seclusion. Our private lane is also home to several families with small children and roaming farm animals (chickens & goats) so please be respectful of noise level and be sure to use caution when navigating your motor vehicle. This property requires a car to get around by roadway. Please coordinate for use of kayaks and bicycles. We are a 2 hour inner tube float from the Englewood Dam and a 3 hour paddle to Island Park in downtown Dayton.
