Conveniently situated on the Dragon's 16th tee, Nakoma’s fabulous amenities are only an 8-minute stroll away! With 5-star dining and a wide-range of amenities at the new Altitude Recreation Center, Nakoma is hands down the Lost Sierra’s premier resort. The Lost Sierra Lodge is centrally located, within 55 miles of Lake Tahoe, Truckee and the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Those planning day trips to Tahoe/Truckee will appreciate our provided guest passes to Tahoe Donner amenities, including private Beach access and boat rentals on Donner Lake. The Lost Sierra Lodge features a beautiful open-concept floor plan, with large rooms, high ceilings, and expansive mountain and golf course views from every room. Our home is well-connected to the expansive back deck, which is conveniently accessed from the kitchen, dining, living room, and master bedroom. You'll appreciate special touches throughout, including beautiful new mountain-style floors, fully-stocked large open chef’s kitchen, and comfortable high-end furniture and bedding. Other amenities include high-speed fiber optic internet, full private office, gas fire pit, three-burner hard-piped Weber BBQ, Trager smoker BBQ, gas fireplace, and air conditioning. Other than two steps down into the main living area, the entire home is single-level and well oriented toward the views off the expansive rear deck. Opening onto the back deck, the master suite features a super comfy Cal King Bed, large soaking tub, oversized shower, and dual-vanity sink. You'll enjoy a flat-panel satellite and streaming TV. All bathrooms include hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, and more. The Hot Springs spa is conveniently located right off the master bedroom doorway to the deck. Located just off the master suite is a private office/den. Those working remotely will appreciate the full office amenities, including HP LaserJet Pro color printer, 27" HP monitor, desk/office chair, and office supplies. Guests wishing to catch a ballgame or morning news will appreciate the 50" Samsung satellite and streaming TV. The private den can also serve as a fourth bedroom with a contemporary sleeper that converts to a 79"x47" bed - firm as is or softer with optional memory foam topper. At the far wing of the home are the King and Queen guest bedrooms, featuring super plush down comforters and pillows and high-thread county bedding. Whether sleeping in with the black out shades drawn or awaking to the beautiful golf course views and crisp mountain air, your guests are sure to be well rested for a great day in the Lost Sierra. The second full bathroom is located a few steps from the Queen and King bedrooms and the half-bath is conveniently located off the main entry. *** No Fault Cancellation Policy Option *** For those Guests hesitant to book for whatever reason, in addition to our standard cancellation policy, we offer a No Fault Cancellation Policy Option. Reservations cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival will be fully refunded. Reservations cancelled more than 48 hours and less than 30 days prior to arrival will be refunded at 50% of sums paid to owner. Reservations cancelled or shortened within 48 hours are subject to full forfeiture. Tenant may cancel for any reason, including Covid, weather, smoke, acts of nature, etc. *** WINTER AMENITIES *** Nakoma is located less than 60 miles from Tahoe’s finest ski resorts, including Squaw Valley/Palisades, Northstar, and Alpine Meadows and just 45 miles from Tahoe Donner’s world-class cross-country center and family-friendly downhill ski resort. Snowshoes, snow tubes, and fat tire bikes are available at Altitude on a first-come, first-served basis. Tahoe Donner also has a wonderful snow play for tubing, etc. Snow mobile tours are available throughout the area as well. For a fun day of snow play and hiking, a local favorite is Johnsville Historic Ski Bowl, located 15 miles west of Nakoma. The Johnsville ski bowl is the birthplace of ski racing in the western hemisphere and the earliest documented ski lifts in the world.
