Welcome to Burncoat Pond! Come enjoy the water and all it has to offer while staying in this newly renovated cottage. Open concept living, dining & kitchen. The home offers a full kitchen with microwave, stove, Keurig, coffee maker and refrigerator. One bedroom with queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed and a pullout couch in the living room. Bathroom includes a shower, washer & dryer on site. Enjoy grilling, boating and watersports while soaking up the sun or relaxing under the moonlight. The space is entirely yours so you don’t have to share it with anybody Guests have full private access to the property With the exception of a small crawlspace basement and tiny owner’s closet. We leave our guests to enjoy the cottage and pond by themselves, however if there is an issue or question we are available to help! Burncoat Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, which encompasses the west side of its namesake pond, provides critical habitat for its resident and migratory wildlife. Its moderate-to-rugged trails also offer an opportunity for a peaceful walk through fields and hardwood-white pine forest, skirting wetlands, passing over streams, and ending at the pond. Sanctuary Highlights Northerly view into Burncoat Pond from atop Richard’s Overlook, a large boulder off of Flat Rock Trail. Mountain laurel, which bursts into delicate clouds of white and pink in late spring. Deer, foxes, raccoons, beavers, otters, coyotes, fishers, muskrats, and bears along with a wide variety of birds, from the Wood Duck and Great Blue Heron to small sparrows and warblers. Longer walks by visiting the Midstate Trail as well as the adjacent Greater Worcester Land Trust and Sibley Farm conservation area. A car is needed to get to local stores and restaurants. There is a Walmart Superstore 5 minutes away where you can get groceries and pretty much anything you need!
