Calling all light travelers! Newly finished Euro style efficiency with views
Blackhawk's Nest is an affordable lodging option for those adventurous travelers looking for a simple, no mess way to stay in the heart of Paradise Valley while experiencing Montana & Yellowstone National Park. Our studio type unit is limited to just 4 people, ideal for 3 adults or a 4 person family with children. It is off the beaten-path with nothing but big starry Montana skies is how we describe this open floor-plan European, travel-light style accommodation. This clean, cozy cabin is ideal for those that are traveling light and want an affordable, base-camp to explore, plan on eating their way through the local restaurants, and want a memorable place to shower, lay their heads and soak up the memories of their day in a safe and unique cabin at the end of a long day. The NEST ACCOMMODATIONS: Newly remodeled bunk house on the owner's property (where he currently lives) streamlined and efficiently designed features throughout. The center-piece to this darling cabin is the bunk bed (full size on bottom, twin on top). There's an additional sleeping loft with 2 more twin beds. We ask that children not access or sleep in the loft! A nice clean full bathroom with shower and fresh clean towels and linens for all beds. There is not a full kitchen, but you will enjoy a large table and chairs for morning coffee, microwave, basic utensils & dishware, a purified water hot & cold water dispenser for those backpacker basics & light meals. Views abound 360 degrees on the private deck & fire pit area with 4 Adirondack chairs and yard games. The Cabin can accomodate up to 4 people with all linens, towels, basic amenities and kitchen basics provided. Pet considered with approval. $200 fee. If bringing an RV, there is a $50/night additional charge for the RV with No hookups. If you hook up the RV to water and electric, it is $100 / night additional. MUST BE DISCLOSED PRIOR and paid for prior to arrival. KITCHEN: More of a prep area for reheating and making tea and coffee - we provide a pour over coffee set up (coffee too), microwave, mini fridge with small freezer, purified water (hot and cold), basic cutlery, compostable plates and silverware, and drinking glasses and mugs. AMENITIES: The bathroom will be stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soaps and linens. The kitchen cart will have the basics for quick reheat-able meals, and the outdoor space has seating around a firepit with fire wood, parking and outdoor games. OUTDOOR SPACE: This property was purchased in 2019 by the owner with his main house & the cabin. Remodeling and updating of the cabin and outdoor space got done just in time for the 2020 summer travel season. A clear area for hanging out and firepit are next to the cabin. The owner has his own home and porch and shares the outdoor space, but will give renters priority when on site. LOCATION: Smack-dab in the middle of picturesque Paradise Valley (half way between Livingston and the north gates of Yellowstone National Park)- views in all directions of the expansive valley and rising mountains of the Absaroka Beartooth Mountains and the Gallatin Mountains, you won't have an ugly view in your sites. The home sits on 20 acres with private undeveloped land surrounding and checker-boarded state sections of land. Wildlife is common here - mainly deer, pronghorn and elk. Beautiful night skies with abundant stars are guaranteed! 41 Miles to Gardiner (39 miles on paved road), 41 miles to the Bozeman Airport, and 17 miles (27 minutes) the heart of historic downtown Livingston. DISCLAIMER: The gravel road into the property is bumpy and feels very long! It is only 3.2 miles from the turn off on Highway 89, but do be prepared to slow it down on some dusty gravel "back roads driving" roads, as you'd anticipate in Montana, the last best place!
