Mid-Century modern charmer in the heart of Winona.

Two Bedroom Mid Century Modern HOUSE in the heart of Winona! Just blocks from Winona State University, the Winona lakes, biking, hiking, walking and the beautiful serenity that Winona offers! I am easily reachable by phone/text; however, I would like you to enjoy your stay without me bothering you! I bought this adorable 1930's home in 2005. As a young child, I grew up next door and watched this home being skillfully moved on to it's current location in 1968 after Winona State University expanded it's campus into nearby neighborhoods! I was in awe of the process and instantly fell in love with this charming cottage! When the home became available (I am the 3rd owner!), I decided I wanted to own this precious home! Everything I have done in this home has been done with my heart. Most everything has been completed over the years; including most new windows and interior and exterior paint in the fall of 2019. I chose to maintain the original wood as opposed to siding the home with aluminum. I love the look of the mid century modern furnishings, so I decided to furnish this home in that direction. I was given guideance by one bedroom set that I inherited from my parents. With the exception of this one bedroom's furniture, all of the furniture is newer; bought in February of 2020. So please keep in mind, new furniture does have a little "stiffness" to it! After you pull up into the driveway (which will easily park 3-4 cars), you will enter through the side entrance of the home. You will have to go up 5 steps prior to entering the kitchen/main level of the home. Both bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining and bathroom are on one level. If you have the need to do laundry, please keep in mind the washer and dryer are located in the basement. You will have to go down approximately 17-20 steep steps to get into the basement and then back up them!!! The main level of the home is all hard surfaces: mostly hardwood flooring (with the exception of tile in the bathroom). There is a bathtub in this property...not a walk-in shower. So the bathroom is NOT handicap accessible. There are plenty of fluffy towels to use! The kitchen has been remodeled with mission-style maple cabinets and black appliances. The stove is electric. The kitchen is also fully stocked with pots/pans, coffee maker, toaster, cooking and eating utensils, mixing bowls, casserole dishes, plates, glasses, coffee cups, wine glasses, kitchen towels, etc. The newer dining table seats four (which is also my homes capacity!). There are additional items located in the built-in cabinet in the dining room; including placemats. The living room features all newer furniture. The chair is a reclining chair. There are blankets to wrap up in in the drawer of the living room chest, and in both benches in the bedrooms. The house stays cozy warm in the cold months! The home has internet although no cable at this time. There is a 50" brand new Samsung TV in the living room for your enjoyment. You can use your own Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Sling, HBO, etc., on ths TV. Bedroom One features a queen-sized mattress and sleeps 2. Bedroom Two features a full-sized mattress and also sleeps two. The bedrooms are small but very quiet and comfortable. No more than four people are allowed renting the home due to Winona's strict rental laws!! The fireplace has NEVER BEEN USED since prior to me buying the property!!! So PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A FIRE!!!! It is not fire safe! I hope you enjoy staying in my wonderful Winona home. I just love this home with all my heart....and I hope you feel the same way during your stay here. All who have stayed with me say they feel so very comfortable in my home! This is a quiet neighborhood (did I mention I grew up next door? and know ALL of the neighbors??!!); so there is a NO LOUD NOISE/MUSIC after 11:00 PM. Please respect the neighbors!! Winona State University is four blocks to the east. **BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAYS MUST BE BOOKED TOGETHER**(FULL WEEKEND). NO SATURDAY CHECKOUTS WITHOUT OWNER APPROVAL. NO SATURDAY ARRIVALS. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE HOME!! NO FIRES IN THE FIREPLACE!! NO LOUD NOISE/DISRUPTIONS/MUSIC AFTER 11:00 PM. AND ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES!!! MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY IS 4!! THIS IS WINONA RENTAL CODE FOR THIS HOME. Thank you!! And please enjoy your stay! There is a lockbox on the back of the home. The code will be provided upon check in. I can be reached 24 hours a day. This home is 4 1/2 blocks from Winona State, less then a half mile to restaurants and bars, and just a few blocks from the Winona lakes with access to running/biking path!
