Relax and enjoy nature in this lakeside retreat! Only 75 minutes from Manhattan, with Metro North access nearby. Wake up to the sunrise over the lake with stunning views from the master bedroom; enjoy the private lake or one of many nearby hiking & biking trails; cook in the fully equipped kitchen or outdoor grill; and wind down with a bath in the jetted tub and a fire in the indoor wood stove or outdoor fire pit. Everything you need for a weekend getaway or week by the lake! An updated A-frame lakeside chalet, our home has everything you need for summer lakeside fun, fall Upstate foliage viewing, or a cozy winter getaway. Entire home, deck, driveway, yard, and shared access to the lake (3 small beach / dock areas). Please note that our home is not directly on the beach, but a short walk away from the lake. Due to recent weather incidents, lake access may be a slightly more challenging (eg down a steep hill or a 10 minute walk away). This is in process of being fixed; contact us for updated info. We provide some swimming equipment such as rafts and floatation devices, but if you are interested in boating or kayaking you can arrange to bring your own equipment. Text / phone Private lake community in a rural setting. Only homes surrounding the lake can access. Nearby is the Empire State Trail, the Appalachian Trail, and other lovely walks and hikes. The town of Pawling, a charming Hudson Valley town, is a 10 minute drive away. Guests can take the Metro North to the area, though public transport locally is limited. The house has a private driveway and a car is most convenient. Uber and Lyft are available. Access to the private lake and small beach area is available via a slightly steep path directly across from the house. There are also two other access points a 5 and 10 minute walk (or short drive) down the road (both have less steep pathways to access). Our home is not situated directly on the lake. We provide some swimming equipment such as rafts and floatation devices, but if you are interested in boating or kayaking you can arrange to bring your own equipment. Local attractions include the nearby Appalachian Trail, Empire State Trail, and other hiking and biking paths. Check out Fishkill Farms or Barton Orchards for farm-based fun, live music, and food. Pawling Village is a short drive away, or take a trip to visit Hudson Valley gems like Beacon or the Culinary Institute of America.
