Guest House at Dinner Bell Farm Stay
Enjoy a comfy retreat on our beautiful organic farm – yet you will be only a short drive from the village of Saxapahaw and a wide variety of sites to see and activities to do all around us. Relax and enjoy our 40 acres of pastures, forest, and gardens. Sit under the huge oak tree outside your porch, nap or daydream in the hammock, watch the sunset over the fields and the stars come out, tell stories around the fire pit. Our guest house has two bedrooms, a full bath with shower, a half bath, living room, and a full kitchen. We love to cook so we’ve lovingly stocked the kitchen with everything you will need to prepare and cook meals – cookware and appliances, knives and utensils, spices and oils, tableware – even a picnic basket and cooler. We have great wi-fi and a smart speaker for you to enjoy, but we are TV-free! Introduce your children to our pigs and chickens and Farmer John, take photos on the tractor, harvest your own veggies, jump in the pond, or take a walk in the creek. Rent a canoe or kayak on the Haw River, hike the great trails all around us, or make short day trips to children’s museums, the NC zoo, historical sites, lots of great universities, or the Triangle cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill are all nearby. Cook some simple, delicious meals with fresh veggies, pasture-raised meats and eggs, local breads, dairy and honey . . . or let one of the fabulous farm-to-table restaurants in the area cook for you. We live (and work) on the farm so we will be around to point you in the right direction, answer questions, and help you make your visit relaxing and memorable! Our farm is less than 15 minutes from Saxapahaw; 20 minutes from Graham; 30 minutes from Burlington and Elon; 30 minutes from Carborro and Chapel Hill; 40 minutes from Greensboro; 50 minutes from Durham; 60 minutes from Raleigh.
