Summary: Elevate your Rocky Mountain experience at Guanella Lodge! Every sense will be delighted by mountain views, crisp mountain air, bountiful sunshine, plush enclosed patio, and private yard complete with hot tub. This rustic-meets-luxurious sanctuary sleeps 12 in style at the foot of glorious Guanella Pass. Skiing, hiking, wildlife, historic sites, craft breweries, and natural wonders are right outside your door. One look at this alpine oasis will inspire you to heed the call of the Rockies! The Space: This mountain-inspired, design-focused villa provides a feast for the senses from top to bottom. The front porch -- one of two wonderful outdoor lounging areas -- is everything you’ve dreamed of, including a swing, fire pit with seating for four, and cozy space heater. Just inside the sliding doors is a luxurious downstairs living room. Posh décor is gathered around a fireplace, providing the perfect setting for reading with coffee or conversation over cocktails. A second living space is designed for snuggling up in front of a movie. More wood accents here set off the rustic-contemporary feel of the home. An expansive mounted Roku Smart TV (one of six!) provides easy access to your streaming services. Feel free to use your own credentials, or enjoy the included Hulu Live TV. There is also a full bathroom with shower downstairs. The mouthwatering, chef-inspired kitchen is set up with every convenience imaginable. A lovely open floor plan invites breezy socializing between the kitchen, dining room with seating for six, and extra perching space at the breakfast bar. Prepare your own meals or sample Georgetown’s many culinary delights. Outside the entertainment lounge, you will discover a large backyard with mountain views and the highest echelon of Colorado essentials -- a hot tub! More outdoor seating can be found here as well. All the better to soak in (literally and figuratively) the beauty of your surroundings. With all the recreational offerings available in the surrounding area, you need somewhere calm and comfy to sink into at night. This place has you more than covered with four bedrooms and sleeping space for eleven. A downstairs living room sleeping sofa is also available. The Wolf Bedroom is the primary sleeping area, with a private twin-sink bathroom, huge walk-out enclosed patio with plenty of seating and thoughtful touches, whimsical hanging chair and Roku Smart TV. A king bed is the main attraction here, but we have also included two twin beds to accommodate everyone in your group. The Bear Bedroom also has a king bed and plenty of windows for bright and happy mornings. The Peak Bedroom features a queen bed swathed in cheery mountain plaid. The fourth sleeping space is The Bunkhouse, so named for its popular bunk bed setup that is popular with both the young and the young at heart. Three twin beds round out an abundance of accommodation. A third full bathroom upstairs means three showers and plenty of space for everyone to get ready in the morning. Extra amenities include a washer and dryer downstairs, so feel free to pack light for the ultimate in no-fuss travel! Historic Georgetown is one of Colorado’s oldest towns, and we hope you will take some time to stroll downtown and enjoy the many charming shopping and dining options. From quaint ice cream parlors to the fascinating Hotel de Paris Museum to our famous resident Bighorn Sheep, there really is something for everyone. And how many places have a Dog Mayor? Parker the Snow Dog reigns supreme as the most adorable elected official in the West. We can’t wait for you to visit. Stay for the night, the week, or longer! We love to accommodate extended stays. This one-of-a-kind villa is Colorado personified and distilled into one luxurious package with all the bells and whistles. Book with confidence today! Guest Access: Guests have access to the entire space. The Neighborhood: Georgetown, Colorado, United States Tiny, charming and perfectly situated at the foot of Guanella Pass in the Rocky Mountains – Georgetown is characterized by its bygone-era charm and walkable downtown. While strolling past local museums, historic buildings, ice cream parlors and shopping nooks, you may forget that you’re only an hour from Denver! This lovely town is glorious in summer, alive with bighorn sheep in fall, and festooned with holiday cheer in winter. And to top it all off, world-class skiing is just a short drive away! Nearby highlights include Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, the Guanella Pass scenic byway and Bread Bar in Silver Plume. Looking for a challenge? You can bag two beginner-friendly 14ers – Mount Bierstadt and Grays Peak – during your stay. Rafting, fishing, mountain biking and kayaking are also popular activities in the region. Long story short? Georgetown has something for everyone, making it the perfect home base for your Rocky Mountain adventure. Getting Around: For those visiting without a car, there are many transportation options. Although we urge you not to rely on Uber or Lyft, visitors can get around using the Roundabout Bus, Bustang + Outrider or Snowstang buses. Explore your options at visitclearcreek.com/transportation. Georgetown itself is very walkable. The stroll around the lake is especially enjoyable, and can be combined with a visit to lakeside Cabin Creek Brewery. The house is very close to the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, a popular drive that delivers views, wildlife, backcountry skiing, and access to 14ers and other excellent hiking trails. The main highway is the East-West I-70. Head West to get to the ski resorts (there are many to choose from). Frisco Reservoir is a local-favorite destination for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding. There is also a popular long bike ride between Frisco and Breckenridge. I-70 East will take you to Denver, Golden, and Boulder. We are about two hours from Rocky Mountain National Park via CO-119 and CO-72 W. This is also the route to take to Eldora, a laid-back ski resort where you can avoid the crowds and mingle with locals. Other Things to Note: Check out the new Cabin Creek Brewery in town for a refreshing drink! Note that there is no AC in the home. This is normal for homes at 8530' elevation. Open the windows and enjoy the fresh breeze, even in the middle of the summer! Absolutely, NO PETS OR SMOKING in the home. A fine from the security deposit will be withheld if house rules are broken. Please park in the driveway, where there is room for four vehicles. We also have two street parking spots for a total of six parking spaces. Interaction with Guests: My home is professionally managed by Highline Management and will be available to assist your needs at all times.
