Large home in quiet neighborhood just outside Detroit. You will have the whole home to yourself --- 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms! ***PLEASE NOTE: *No bookings to people living locally, except for special circumstances. *No parties or events. *No additional visitors to the house. *No booking to first time Airbnb users - you must have a recommendation from a host on your account.*** Five minutes to I-96. Quick drive to SE Michigan destinations: Downtown Detroit 20 min. You'll love staying in our large 1961 home! With 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, our comfortable home is perfect for a romantic get-away for two or has plenty of room for a large family visiting from out-of-town. There are 4 bedrooms on the upper floor. The fifth bedroom is just off the family room and right next to a bathroom with a shower. This bedroom contains a day-bed with a twin mattress and a slide-out bed underneath and also has a desk, bookshelves and a printer in the room. The family room level is three steps down from the entry level. Please see our pictures for more detail of the setup. You can get take-out from some of the many nearby restaurants or spend time in and make a meal in our large kitchen. Our living room is the perfect place for conversation while gathered around the faux fire in our mid-century modern fire place. In our large family room you can watch a movie or catch up on your favorite shows on our TV that offers Netflix, Amazon, and more. (Three of the bedrooms have TVs also!) You can look through our vinyl collection and listen to records while playing foosball or board games. We have some toys for younger kids, and lots of Legos! You can enjoy our secluded backyard — feel free to grill. Parking is simple with our four car driveway and always-available street parking. One of our favorite things about the house is the view! The front of the house looks over the natural growth along a branch of the Rouge River, with Western Golf Course on the other side. You will often see neighbors taking morning strolls along our scenic street. We are excited to share our home with you while you visit Metro Detroit! You'll have access to the whole house excluding the basement and garage. Some dresser drawers and closets are off-limits too. I'm always close by but will be off the premises during your stay. Always available by phone or text as well. Our neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Most of our neighbors have lived in the area for decades and are proud of our little neighborhood. Joggers and walkers are comfortable exercising along the golf course across from our home. We have lived in the area for 35 years! Parking is available in our 4 car drive way and on the street. We are 5 minutes away from the expressway I-96 which makes it easy to get anywhere in Metro Detroit. The two entrances (front and side) to the house each have two steps. We have a large family room TV and TVs in 3 of the bedrooms with access to Netflix. Coffee and tea are available. We provide towels, sheets, pillows, and pillowcases as well as bathroom amenities including shampoo and conditioner. We also have many miscellaneous items that may be needed during your stay (hair dryer, baby items, Chicco Lullaby Playard/Crib, contact solution, etc).
