Standard Room in Downtown: Casa Celeste Hotel
Our Standard Rooms are equipped with a King Size bed, mini fridge and coffee maker, as well as a large closet, a bathroom, and a shower; two chairs are also in the room in case you wish to sit to read or to talk with someone. Essentials, such as towels, toilet paper, a water bottle, soap, and shampoo are given to you as well. Casa Celeste Hotel has three floors. On the first floor is the reception and the pool, along with a couple chairs and a hammock at your disposal. On the second level we have a large terrace with several sofas, another hammock, chairs and coffee tables, were we also have a basket filled with books left by other guests and board games that can be used; This is an area where guests usually come together to talk and socialize. On the third level we have a large terrace with dining room and shared kitchen fully equipped with the necessary utensils to prepare your own food if you wish; sofas, armchairs and a hammock are at your disposal to rest, read or drink your drinks. This terrace offers yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at an extra cost. Smoking is not allowed in the hotel, but an exception is made in this last floor. The hotel staff will be available from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at the hotel reception for any question, doubt or service you may need. Casa Celeste Hotel is located on a pedestrian-only street, just in the heart of downtown (where the former town was established), where you'll find yourself close to the best beaches, restaurants (from Mexican food, to Japanese and Italian food), shops (including the Main Market and the Crafts Market), the Archeologic Museum, Art Galleries, Sport Bars, Bakeries (where you can walk every day to get recently ovened bread) , the Fishing Pier, the Main Square, where many events are held almost every night, the waterfront walkway Paseo del Pescador (Fisherman’s Path), where the fishermen sell fresh fish at the morning, the Parish of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, and much more. Some activities close to the hotel include Yoga, Walking, Sport Fishing, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Surfing, Kayaking, Sailing, Paddleboarding, Parachuting, Water Skiing, Arts (such as the annual Guitar Festival), many kinds of Tours, and much more. Other activities a little bit farther from the hotel (from 15 min. by car) include Golf, Tennis, Horse Riding, Whale Watching, Bird Watching, and Cycling; some other farther locations include a Mangroove, a large Archeological site at La Chole, and some Animal Shelters. The best known beaches in Zihuatanejo (La Ropa, Las Gatas, and La Madera Beaches) are all close from the hotel; other well-known beaches in Ixtapa include Playa Blanca, Playa Larga, Troncones, Barra de Potosí, El Palmar, Playa Linda, and Isla de Ixtapa. Casa Celeste Hotel has an excellent location to move easily to most of the main beaches of Zihuatanejo, either walking or by boat to beaches such as Las Gatas Beach. Just one block from the hotel is the Main Beach (Playa Principal), from where you can take a walkway to La Madera Beach and then walk to La Ropa Beach if you wish (to reach this beach, it will take you about 30 minutes walking). You can take the minibus or a taxi too.
