MogoteArt is elegantly nestled into the natural, lush landscape and has a Certified Organic plantation for its own use. Our cozy country home has great views over the Mogotes (Viñales Valley’s unique, karst mountains). It's a walkable 3 Km. from downtown Viñales, thus very peaceful and surrounded by the sounds of nature. A perfect place to relax, enjoy romantic moments, and hike around the Valley. Breakfast is included. Peace, silence, natural sounds, and organic food from our Certified Organic plantation (cultivo organopónico). MogoteArt is away from hundreds of tourists staying and partying at Viñales. The shared areas of our small and cozy farm are the covered terraces of the ranchón, the gardens, the agro-ecological orchard, our very own Mogote with a small space still more private and a small lookout, and cozy niches of stone and natural vegetation, all for the exclusive use our guests. You can make excursions on horseback with a guide for 5-7 CUC/person/hour or on foot for 20 CUC/person with a guide. Trusted, knowledgeable guides are always available through MogoteArt. Tours to visit adventures, such as caves, Las Terrazas, beaches, snorkeling/scuba Maria la Gorda, and so forth can be arranged through MogoteArt or at the Viñales Tourist Office. Taxis can be hired to many destinations—even to Havana, door-to-door. MogoteArt’s house owner is the young Cuban writer Luis, who lived for many years in Madrid (Spain) and who is passionate for the Arts. He lives on the property in an independent area. He will provide you with all the necessary information about the area, the possibility of organizing excursions and tours (walking, riding, cycling, or by car) to visit viewpoints, and generally how to "Mogotear" in the privileged setting of the valley with native peasants. He will also provide advice on places for food and drinks to your liking. If you have questions or concerns, please just ask… The gourmet meals are prepared by the housekeepers, who pick the organic food from our Bio orchard, certified by the Ministry of Agriculture. Portions are generous and largely made with our ecological/Bio produce and other local foodstuffs. Breakfast: included. Lunch: 12 CUC/person. Dinner: 12 CUC/person. Also, drinks and snacks can be prepared. The house is located in the middle of the Viñales National Park, with its own Mogote, that is a carstic formation than can be found in very few places in the world. MogoteArt is very close to the amazing Mural de la Prehistoria, a famous art and culture monument showing the course of life. You can rent a car to move around. There are buses to the Mural de la Prehistoria from Viñales. You can rent bikes. There are taxis from Viñales square than can take you to the house, for about 5 CUC. You can also walk for about 30-45 minutes from downtown Viñales. The internet/wifi is limited in Cuba to some public squares and hotels, so if you want to connect to the internet you may go to Viñales main square and, with a prepaid card that you can get at Etecsa office, connect to the wifi in order to check emails, surf, etc. In MogoteArt, you will enjoy total privacy, parking on the property, keys to the gate and rooms in order to go in and out at any time, and a totally private bathroom in your room. You may not bring people to the MogoteArt who are not properly registered as guests. MogoteArt values and respects people in all their diversity.
