Let the Sea set you Free! Our ocean front home welcomes you. Our property is situated in the mouth of the Halifax Harbour, seaside living, minutes from the city. It does not get better than this on the East Coast. Guests are free to utilize the entire space. You’ll be renting the entire top 2 levels of this 3 level home. The bottom 1st level (no guest access) is an occupied self contained apartment. You can relax listening to the waves, try you luck fishing or if you own a boat we have a spot for you to dock. Both bedrooms boast beautiful queen size beds. The 3rd bedroom will be locked and contains our office and personal items. A Graco pack and play is also available upon request along with a high chair for feeding. All child safety items such as gate for stairs to keep your toddlers safe. We are available for all your questions and inquiries. While you are staying with us we will be nestled in our boathouse down on the wharf directly on the property. You will have our home all to yourself. Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia is a mid-sized community on the Eastern Shore. It is a part of the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, and lies along the Atlantic Ocean, at the eastern side of the mouth of Halifax Harbour. Historically, fishing was the main source of income for the community, but now most of its inhabitants commute to Downtown Halifax or Dartmouth , or work in the community at typical jobs. In 1996, Fisherman's Cove, which combined a restored and working fishing village with gift shops and restaurants, opened as a tourist attraction. Only 20 minutes from Downtown Halifax, Fisherman’s Cove is one of Nova Scotia's oldest and newest tourist destinations. Enjoy the sounds of the ocean and views that'll have you stopping for another roll of film. Watch the fishermen come in with their daily catch; you can buy their fish right here! Take a boat ride and explore McNabs Island. You can also learn the great history of Fisherman’s Cove by enjoying a historic walk of the area. If you like to shop, you'll love the many shops of Fisherman’s Cove. There is a beautiful gallery where you can purchase the art of local artists and our other shops where you can purchase souvenirs, Maritime art crafts, unique folk art, and much more (visit our shops & services page). As you wander through the shops you might see local artists capturing some of the spectacular vistas. While visiting us if you find yourself hungry, feast on fantastic seafood, tea & coffee, soups, desserts, or enjoy a delicious ice cream treat. Eastern Passage is also the home of 105.9 Seaside-FM. A community based not-for-profit radio station based here and staffed by volunteers. The Seaside broadcast crew boasts both those from the professional broadcast industry and members from within our community. They feature a wonderful selection of easy listening favorites from yesterday and today, as well as, an enviable collection of music from some of Atlantic Canada's existing and rising musical stars. We have ample parking on the property. The city public transportation system is reliable and the stop is conveniently right at the end of our driveway. Our community has services that include a small locally owned grocery store FreshMart, liquor store, Needs convince store 24 hour, Dollar store, Tim Hortons, Subway, Circle K gas station. There is also various take out restaurants such as pizza, what’s the scoop. Family friendly dining at Boondocks Restaurant and a local pub Seafarers.
