Being downtown has never been more enjoyable, and being located on a quiet side street ensures you’re able to get into the hustle and bustle with little effort. The Cellar is a recently fully renovated downtown suite located in the heart of the south end of Halifax. A great place whether you're looking for a staycation or are in town on an extended work trip. As the title’s indicated, this is a recently fully renovated basement suite in a historical building located downtown. The small kitchen includes full sized fridge with freezer, apartment sized oven range, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker (pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups and glasses all provided for you to use). But my suggestion would be to make the most of the fabulous restaurants and pubs located throughout the city. You’ll be sleeping on a new queen size bed, with freshly launder sheets and lovely feather(down) duvet. This is a basement suite after all but with the recent renovations, we've tried to ensure as much natural light comes in as possible while ensuring your privacy. What you see in the pictures is what you get;-) We live on site and like to keep busy so we're usually coming and going. If there are any concerns, we're available through the app and can pop down quite quickly. This space is not managed by a property management company, we the owners, only have this listing, so we're able to focus on creating a great experience for you. 1 minute walk to local coffee shop(Uncommon Grounds). 5 minute walk to grocery store(Sobey’s), NSLC(liquor store and cannabis), Bi One Korean restaurant, post office and pharmacy. 10 minute walk to Spring Garden, library, second grocery store(Superstore) and pharmacy, two other NSLCs, restaurants(Stillwell's beer garden, The Henry House, Boneheads, Talay-Thai, Darrell’s), Point Pleasant Park, Halifax Seaport Market, Citadel Hill and greater downtown. All this and more only minutes away on foot, which will surely make for enjoyable excursions during your stay. If you’re driving into the city, there’s on street parking that’s available on a first come, first serve basis, just mind the conditions. One parking spot is provided at the rear of the property, where you access The Cellar. Please try to back in against the fence for the yard, this ensures that our neighbours and ourselves are able to have access to our respective parking spaces. 1 minute walk to #4, 10, 14 bus stops. 5 minutes walk to # 7, 29, 41 bus stops. 10 minutes walk to (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and 194. The Halifax/Dartmouth ferry is a 15 minute walk. We live upstairs with our dogs, so being in the basement you’re bound to hear people and pets upstairs moving around, but no more so than your typical basement flat. Our dogs/companions are vocal and you might see us out and about with them. We ask that all guests respect our pets and allow them to approach you of their own accord.
