==> Reopening Update - as of 02/22/2022 <== Traveling to Grand Cayman just got easier! As of February 18, the Cayman Islands have dropped all on-island testing for incoming travelers. Direct flights have also been expanded to include American departing from Miami, and United Airlines departing from Chicago, Houston, Newark, and Washington, DC (IAD). Additional flights from Atlanta, Charlotte, and Baltimore will be added in March. Current travel requirements include: -- Pre-register travel and vaccination status with Travel Cayman. A certificate of travel will be required for all members of your group for entry. -- Unvaccinated children ages 11 and younger will assume the vaccination status of their traveling adult/guardian. -- All travelers, ages 5 and above, must provide proof of a negative rapid test taken no earlier than the day before arrival. Your home country may require pre-departure testing for your return flight. Be sure to know your country’s testing requirements in advance. The quarantine period for unvaccinated travelers has been reduced from 10 to 7 days. This luxurious 7-bedroom 7.5-bath beachfront gated estate sits on over 200 feet of pristine beach with fabulous snorkeling and breathtaking sunset views of tranquil South Sound. Spanning over 8,000 sq. ft., this magnificent oceanfront home features ample outdoor space including a 75-foot-long pool with a whirlpool spa, expansive covered veranda, outdoor kitchen with propane BBQ grill, plus an oceanfront cabana. The main house at Villa Mora sleeps 14 guests (10 adults max) across five spacious bedroom suites and two comfortable pull-out couches. All bedrooms except the twin suite enjoy spectacular ocean views and offer private balconies or covered porticos. The gourmet kitchen comes equipped with modern stainless appliances, granite counters, and a breakfast bar with seating. The great room dining area provides seating for 14 and features a retractable glass wall providing direct access to the beach, pool deck, and open-air views of the Caribbean. Villa Mora's guest cottage sits at the far end of the pool beyond the heated spa and features two queen suites accommodating an additional 4 guests. Each suite opens out onto an oceanfront deck nestled against manicured lawns down to the beach. The cottage also features a covered veranda with an outdoor kitchen and bar area. ***Bedroom & Bathroom Layout*** (Sleeps 18 guests total, 14 adults max*) -- Master Suite: upper-level, king bed, ocean views, private balcony, TV, walk-in closet, ensuite bath with dual vanity, soaking tub, and separate glass shower with dual rain showerheads. -- Upper Suite: upper-level, California king bed, ocean views, private balcony, TV, walk-in closet, ensuite bath with dual vanity, soaking tub, and separate shower. -- East Suite: lower-level spanning the entire east wing, queen bed, ocean views, TV, walk-out access to the pool deck, private den with queen sleeper sofa, ensuite bath with shower tub combo. -- West Suite: lower-level, ocean views, California king bed, small daybed, walk-out access to the pool deck, ensuite bath with shower. -- Garden Suite: 2 twin beds, lower-level, garden views, TV, ensuite bath with shower. -- Cottage Suite #1: detached from the main house, ocean views, queen bed, ensuite bath with shower. -- Cottage Suite #2: detached from the main house, ocean views, queen bed, ensuite bath with shower. ***Villa Mora's Notable Features*** -- The upper level of the main house offers two oceanfront king suites. -- Lower-level of the main house offers two oceanfront king suites and a garden twin suite. -- Optional Guest Cottage has two additional oceanfront queen suites. -- Large pool and heated spa with oceanfront views and plenty of chaises for poolside lounging. -- Air-conditioned media room for adults with a large satellite HDTV and DVD player. -- Separate Kid's TV Room adjacent to the great room on the first floor. -- Home office on the second floor with ocean views, work station, private balcony, and sofa loveseat. There is no sleeping option in the office. -- Propane BBQ grill in outdoor kitchen cabana. Daily maid service is optional and can be arranged for guests in addition to a private chef, massage therapist, personal trainer, or yoga instructor. Villa Mora is conveniently located 10-12 minutes from the airport, and a short drive to Seven Mile Beach, Georgetown, as well as plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and local attractions. A hospital is nearby as well in case of emergencies. Sandy beach in both directions for walking and reef-protected snorkeling all-around with corals and vibrant marine life. Please wear swim fins or pool shoes in the sea. *Notes: 1) A Cleaning Fee may be required due to enhanced cleaning, sanitation, and inspection protocols. 2) Silver Thatch tandem kayaks available for discounted rental. Signed waiver required. ================================ *** Cancellation Policy *** Should guests cancel outside of 60 days from arrival, half of the initial deposit, less a 3.50% processing fee, will be refunded to the card on file. Should we be able to rebook your canceled dates, in whole or in part, the other half of the deposit will be refunded, pro-rata, for each day rebooked. Should we be unable to replace your canceled dates, the balance of the remaining deposit is forfeited. Should guests cancel within 60 days, no refund will be offered unless the pandemic exception below applies. ==> PANDEMIC EXCEPTION: At 60 days from arrival or within, if the Cayman Islands are closed to tourism, require quarantine, or commercial flight options do not exist, you may either reschedule your stay for future dates or request to cancel with all payments refunded, less a 3.50% processing fee. We will also instruct VRBO to refund their service fee to the guest card on file. Our full cancellation policy can be viewed by clicking the Rental Agreement link under the House Rules section on the second checkout screen. ================================= ***Villa Cleaning & Sanitation*** -- We're committed to the health and safety of all our guests and have adopted enhanced cleaning safeguards to suppress the spread of COVID-19. All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival using health agency-approved cleaners and disinfectants. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products. -- Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival on-island. ***Rate Details*** -- 13% Occupancy Tax added to all rates. -- 10% Guest Service includes your Silver Thatch Membership. -- Owner requires a refundable damages deposit of $2,500. -- We accept VISA, MC, Discover and Bank Wire for payments. ***Booking Rules*** -- 5 nights minimum stay required. -- 6 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Thanksgiving week. -- 7 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Christmas and New Year's week. -- Christmas & New Year's dates are split into two rental periods. Please inquire with your travel dates prior to booking. -- Shorter stays may be available but subject to a higher cleaning fee. Please inquire before booking. -- Must be 25 or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire stay. ***Beach Notes*** All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Queen owns up to the high watermark. Be advised, the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images displayed due to weather. The next-door beach is also always available for your use. ***Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed*** Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.
