There is another door at the top of the stairs for privacy. Guests staying on the first floor will also use the rear door from the first floor to go to the backyard or storage room where the clothes dryer is located. Access the stairs to the suite is from the living room. The 1st floor kitchen, laundry, dining & living room, bathroom, backyard and patio are shared spaces. The bedrooms are private for the guests that rent them of course. Although the first floor also has its own newly renovated full bathroom, we request that guests on the first and second floors help each other out and allow use of their bathroom when needed. Kindly talk to each other about this. Don't forget, if you are entertaining visitors on the first floor, in the kitchen, dining area or living room, you may want them to use the first floor bathroom rather than walking up a flight of stairs. If you are only renting one or two of the bedrooms, we may rent the other bedrooms to other people, in which case the bathroom, breakfast/sitting area and refrigerator will be shared. If you want to ensure more privacy, you can increase your number of guests to 3 or 4 which will give you use of two bedrooms. To rent the entire suite, message me to discuss how to do that. By time you read this, we may have seperate listings for 2 Bedrooms, the entire 3-Bedroom suite or the entire 6-Bedroom house at a higher price. NYS Law requires me to disclose this: I am the Homeowner and also a licensed NYS Real Estate Broker operating as Ellis Group, Ltd.; but, I am not acting as a broker in this transaction and although Airbnb may be charging a fee, I am not charging a real estate fee or commission. OTHER GUESTS, PHOTOS, CONDITION, CLEANING, etc. You should be aware that the other guests could be of opposite gender from you. More often than not, all the Levittown residents are men. I've found in the past that women are particularly sensitive to mixed-gender sharing and are often uncomfortable with that. If this is going to be an issue for you, be sure to discuss it with me ahead of time. We don't guarantee the future gender mix but can tell you what we have reserved. General message applying to all bedrooms: As mentioned earlier in the Listing Description, we have not yet uploaded photos of this listing. The one bedroom shown is the first we listed; it is on the ground floor and does not look like the others. All of the second floor bedrooms are larger and have been recently (2018-19) redecorated, some more than others, but in all cases new double curtains (sheer and room darkening on double rods), fresh paint, desk, desk chair, lighting, dresser, mirror. The bathroom was newly renovated with all new fixtures during that time period. Some, not all, of the bedrooms have new LED lighting or new closets. We will hopefully complete redecoration and renovation in the near future, including rugs or flooring, a third bathroom and new laundry room. The floors and rugs are a bit older but in usable condition. Cleaning: All linens and towels are freshly cleaned before your arrival and are relatively new. Your cleaning fee is meant to cover preparing your room before you arrive. It does not mean we are providing general or regular cleaning of the common areas. We do periodically have cleaners clean the common areas of the house it the responsibility of the guests in a shared house to cooperate with each other to keep the place clean. Our specific rules for this are covered in the house rules. You can request we send those to you for your review before you complete a reservation. I will be available by phone or email. Shopping and Entertainment nearby: NASSAU MALL / LEVITTOWN PLAZA is located on Hempstead Turnpike (just west of North Wantagh Avenue and east of Jerusalem Avenue). It includes: BJ's Wholesale Club, Best Buy, an AMC 10-plex movie theater, Kohl's, Sports Authority, TGI Friday's, Old Navy, Wendy's, Fortune Wheel Seafood, DSW, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Party City, Michaels, Geek Squad, LA Fitness, and a mall with others. Hempstead Turnpike has many, many stores and restaurants in both directions. Nassau University Medical Center is a few miles to the west. The charming Village of Farmingdale is a lovely, walkable old town village, just a couple of miles to the east on Hempstead Turnpike Long Island's world class South Shore beaches are all easily accessible from the house. For the closest and most famous - Jones Beach State Park - look at the Directions section of this listing and start taking the Southern State route in reverse. Daily parking fee is $10. Travel south on North Wantagh Avenue and take the Southern State Parkway West. Then take the Wantagh Parkway South and follow the signs to Jones Beach. There are many parking fields and it's your choice as to which to use. Look up the official website for Jones Beach State Park and look for the Comprehensive Jones Beach map. I suggest doing a quick web search before you go as each parking field and beach there has its own character, for example. Here's one cool review on Yelp: Growing up with Jones Beach as your "home" beach you go through phases. Maybe as a kid you came to field 6. You loved walking down the boardwalk to the crowded area. Or sometimes you would go to field 5, and hang out in Zach's Bay. As a teen and through college, you realize that the crowded area is accessible via field 4. So once you start driving, you prefer field 4. Plus by the time you get to the beach, well the field 6 lot is full. Now you are married and perhaps with a kid on the way. Well all of a sudden field 6 is back in your life. Its quiet enough. Parking is closer to the actual beach. So no need to drag all the beach toys through that long tunnel. And you get there earlier because well the kid needs a nap around 2. I'm guessing I'll be at field 6 until my daughter begs me to park at field 4 because her friends are there. You have everything you need here. Towels, chairs, restrooms and showers. They've added this long carpeted walkway towards the beach. Its a nice touch. The sand is clean and well the water is there too. Plus Jones Beach is a state park so its usually cheaper to go here than a town's beach. Buses in Nassau County operate as Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) Bus under a public-private partnership between Nassau County and Veolia Transportation. The nearby NICE Bus Route 80 extends from the Hicksville LIRR (near Hicksville Mall) on the north to Sunrise Mall, East Massapequa on the south. The nearby NICE Bus Routes 70, 71 and 72 traverse Hempstead Turnpike connecting to the central terminal in Hempstead Village on the west and Melville (Suffolk County), Sunrise Mall and SUNY Farmingdale College respectively to the east, south and east. To find all schedules and bus route maps search http : // (Website hidden by Airbnb) or https : / / www dot nassaucountyny dot gov slash 2620 slash Transportation. I have to spell it out that way because Airbnb bots remove anything that looks like an attempt to communicate off-site, in this case another website. • The NICE Bus network links communities via 49 routes in Nassau County, western Queens and eastern Suffolk County. • In 2012, LI Bus carried 30 million passengers. • LI Bus Fleet includes over 300 fixed route buses and more than 90 para-transit vehicles. There are three Long Island Railroad Stations within a few minutes drive of the house: Bethpage, Farmingdale and Hicksville. For directions to the Hicksville stateion, see the Directions section of this listing and follow the "SHOPPING AND DINING ROUTE" in reverse. The Hicksville station will be on your left toward the end of the Jerusalem Avenue section of the route. MetroCard is the light, plastic card that allows you to pay your fare electronically on all NICE Bus routes and New York City Transit buses and subways. You can choose between several kinds of MetroCard to pay your NICE Bus fare: Base MetroCard Fare – $2.50 (Cash Fare: $2.25) Reduced MetroCard Fare - $1.25 (Cash Fare: $1.10) 7-Day Unlimited – $30 30-Day Unlimited – $112 Pay-Per-Ride Bonus: An additional 5% is added to your MetroCard with the purchase or addition of $5 or more. Fee for purchase of a new MetroCard – $1 -Fee applies to each new MetroCard purchased at station booth, vending machine or commuter rail station. If you register for one or two guests, you may only use one bedroom, the one to the left as you enter the upstairs suite. If you register for more three or four guests, you may also use the center bedroom on the second floor. Both bedrooms are a nice size I would call medium-large. There is a very large third bedroom that can fit two more queen beds or air beds and an additional four guests. If you want to use that as well, the additional charges shown will apply but you need to contact me first to unlock the maximum number of guests because we have not finished renovating that third bedroom. The entire 3-Bedroom second floor suite is available for long term rental.
