The neighborhood is quiet and is in the Historic Fort Washington Area just 30 minutes from Washington DC. Shopaholics will love being close to the Tangers Outlets with their upscale discount stores and Safeway, National Harbor, MGM, Gaylord Conference center and other Shopping centers and all just a short drive away. Visit Fort Washington’s “Best Kept Secret,” Proud Mary, a waterfront restaurant and bar known for fabulous Southern cuisine, seafood, and signature cocktails. With its views of the Potomac River and hiking paths, Fort Washington is a lovely spot for picnics, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Just 10 minutes away is the beautiful Old Town Alexandria which is home to more than 200 independent restaurants and boutiques alongside historic museums and beautifully preserved 18th- and 19th-century architecture. The best way to get around is by car with plenty of driveway and street parking for up to 4 cars. You can also use a rideshare app like lyft or uber or just call a taxi with plenty of cars available at all times of the day and night. The closest metro station is along King street-old town which is a 12-minute drive from the house and The Ronald Reagan Airport is around a 20-minute drive. We live upstairs and will respect your privacy at all times and will not come down to the guest suite level at any time during your stay. ★ BABY UPSTAIRS ★ There is a 2-year-old baby who lives upstairs and may cause some noise during the day, but not at night when he sleeps. ★ COVID-19 SANITIZATION ★ Heath, safety, and wellbeing of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out. ★ NO PETS ALLOWED ★ We love those little (and not so little) furry bundles of joy. Sadly, our home is not suitable to accommodate them. ★ NO SMOKING INSIDE ★ Please refrain from smoking inside the home! Any smoking evidence will result in a fee for Oder removal, Duct Cleaning, and furniture cleaning. ★ NO PARTIES/EVENTS ★ We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits.
