El Qalat : Family villa for an organic experience

Designed to gather large families in ample spaces with views to the surrounding areas, El Qalat has unique spaces that make it feel like a cozy little home in the country. Sitting at 1km above sea level, temperatures range from 24°C to 5°C. Engulfed by hills, pine trees, trails and other vacation properties, El Qalat nurtures its own organic greenhouse and apiary. A country villa built in the center of a 15,000 sq. mt. property overlooking La Descubierta Valley, just 2hrs away from Santo Domingo and 1 hour away from Santiago de los Caballeros. The large terrace overlooking the valley, is a perfect place to spend the day surrounded by pine trees and wandering birds. A trail on the grounds, takes you through the different outdoor lounges, miniature dry forest, playground, apiary and greenhouse. At night, gathering in the livingroom, around the fireplace for a chat or a movie, is always a good idea. You can enjoy access to all social areas and sleeping quarters. Some closets and service areas are off limits for storage and security reasons. The grounds' caretaker, Joel, and our hospitality agents Niurka and Rosalina will welcome you and assist you with anything you might need. We are available through (Hidden by Airbnb) , since there is very little cellular service inside the villa. Taking walks inside the property or hikes around the surrounding hills and neighborhoods are perfect afternoon activities. The Fresas De Arroyo Frío plantation is only 100 meters from the property. You can buy freshly harvested strawberries to include in breakfast or snacks. It's recommended to arrive in Sub Urban Vehicles (SUV). Walking is also an option. Joel is available from 9AM to 5PM for any errands or directions you might need. Niurka and Rosalina will make up the rooms, clean the villa and assist you in the kitchen from 8AM to 5PM throughout your stay with us. If you'd like Niurka to stay to help you with dinner, you can arrange directly with her. A modest tip is encouraged.
