Retreat in the Hills of Kingston

Newly refurbished, comfortable, private and in the cool St. Andrew hills, this retreat has a panoramic view of the city of Kingston and the parish of St. Catherine. Approximately 20 minutes from the business and party capital of New Kingston (without traffic), we welcome all travelers looking for a home away from home whether they are on business, pleasure, leisure or those returning home for an event or holiday. The unit is located on the ground floor of the main house and has adequate parking. Guests may use the lawns and garden area adjacent to the apartment going all the way around to the gazebo which has a breath taking view of the city. Relax in the hammock between the two coconut trees and pick mangoes and Jamaican Otaheite apples, if you happen to visit when they are in season. Paintings seen throughout the space are for sale and are done by a contemporary Jamaican Fine Artist who is eclectic in her work. She does abstracts, nature scenes, decayed buildings and favours watercolour. Guest will have their own entrance and driveway with adequate parking. Lawn and gardens areas adjacent to the ground floor are also accessible to guests. The guest suite has its own kitchen, breakfast nook, washroom, living and TV room, bedroom and en suite bathroom all for the guests privacy and comfort. Owners live on property with a small house dog. Housekeeper is also available during the week and arrangements can be made for cleaning and meals at an additional cost. We will be available to offer guests any advice or assistance during their stay with us whether via telephone, (Hidden by Airbnb) , email or in person. Chancery Hall Estate is located in the cool hills of St. Andrew in an area knows as Red Hills (its called that because the colour of the dirt looks red). The neighbourhood is known for walking and jogging and whether early morning or late evening, you may see residents and persons from outside the community, exercising along the main road to keep in shape. The estate has several large "mansion" type homes. The panoramic view of Kingston and St. Catherine is breathtaking, both in the day, as the ships come in to Kingston Harbour, and at night, as the city lights are turned on. Public transportation is not available in Chancery Hall. It is recommended that you use one of several reliable taxi services that will pick up and drop off at the front door, as well as rental car agencies, if you choose to drive. Remember, we drive on the left :). Let us know which you prefer and we can recommend a taxi or rental car agency to you.
