House w/Roof Deck on Private Street

My home is ideal for one person traveling alone, or two people traveling together that desire separate rooms/beds. You will not be sharing the house with other travelers in either case. The bedroom(s) is modern, well lit and includes one full size bed, desk, large closet and full use of the house. The neighborhood is very walkable with comedors, markets and easy access to the center and neighboring towns . You will encounter locals on the streets, very few tourists. The room(s) has one full size bed, a desk and a large closet for all your clothes and other items. It is bright and spacious and on the second floor, adjacent to a shared bath. Weekly cleaning and towels are included. There is a lock on the bedroom door. On the ground floor of the house is a living room with dining area, a kitchen with large refrigerator, stove w/oven, coffee maker ( I supply organic coffee w/ your stay) blender and the usual kitchen supplies. A door from the dining area leads to the side garden. There is also a 1/2 bath on the ground floor. The house is on a no-outlet street, so there is very little traffic. There are the usual neighborhood noises such as local delivery people selling tamales, bread etc. The roof deck has a beautiful view, table with comfortable chairs and will make a great place to watch the sunrise/sunset with a beverage or meal. The lights of the city at night make for a beautiful sight also. Guest has full access to the house. I work during the day, but am always home in the evening. I speak English as well as Spanish and am native to Oaxaca. I am very familiar with the city and neighborhood and it will be my pleasure to help you plan your stay. Ixcotel is walkable and safe. It is a very authentic Mexican neighborhood. Mercado de las Flores has 1/2 dozen comedores and many vendors selling all kinds of items from tortillas to fresh fish, mole and all kinds of meat and vegetables. There are many local places to eat near the house. Parque las Canteras is just a few blocks away. Macro Plaza is nearby also and offers many international stores and a cineplex. Exploring the neighborhood by foot will be a pleasant experience. The walk to the center of town is through a residential/commercial area with interesting passage ways. If you desire, there are many buses, colectivos and taxis to the center, as well as the main route to Tule, Tlacolula and Mitla. When you arrive, I will meet you at the house in the evening during the week, or anytime on the weekend. The check-in time is flexible. Let me know your needs and I will try to accommodate you.
