Guest House in English Harbour

Charming, newly renovated bungalow convenient to hiking trails and the English Harbour Arts Centre. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, full kitchen, large deck, woodstove. Great location for a family vacation or girls weekend away. This house is nestled amongst the trees away from traffic and noise. A small bubbling brook runs alongside the house. One can see Trinity Bay over the roof tops of the harbour from the front of the house, and the quiet of a forest and ancient potato garden from the rear. A large deck wraps three sides of the house. An easy ten minute walk to the beach, There are a number of hiking trails nearby, and the English Harbour Arts Centre is a short walk away. English Harbour is a unique community at the end of a road: peaceful and beautiful. The sunsets are extraordinary, the hikes are part of the landscape, the locals are friendly and welcoming, the arts centre offers a gallery and workshops and performances, and there are restaurants and shops and theatre just a short drive away. I love this place!! I recommend that you have a car to make it easy to explore the Bonavista Peninsula. There is plenty of parking at the guest house. Biking around Trinity Bight is fun for the energetic: rolling hills, narrow lanes, and some rough patches. A mountain bike is better than a road bike I think. Three things to note: Breakfast items are provided, but guests should stop for other provisions in Port Rexton...there are no shops or services in English Harbour. There is limited cell service in English Harbour so bring a map, or download a map to your device. Many wonderful restaurants within a short drive of the guest house, including Fishers Loft Inn in Port Rexton. Call for a dinner reservation.
