We offer a B & B/Farm vacation stay along with offering a custom Special Events venue. Our vision is for families, businesses and individuals to experience the down-to-earth lifestyle of a real farm as they come to gather, learn or stay… a chance to slow down, relax and enjoy some of life’s simple pleasures. The Prairie Sunset Room is situated on the lower level of the home. Comfortably decorated and spacious it accommodates a queen size bed with 1 single bed with the option of adding another single bed if needed. When you stay at Farm Away you are welcome to explore and relax in our large garden spaces, barnyard, go on a nature hike and so much more. We are here to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We can show you around then leave you to relax or you can book some time with us to take a pasture tour or learn more about the livestock, crops and how your food is grown. Portage la Prairie offers many sights and amenities. Pop into one of our many locally operated cafes and restaurants, visit the Fort la Reine Museum or take a short drive north to Delta Beach situated on the southern tip of Lake Manitoba. We are located 5 minutes outside of Portage la Prairie so you will need a vehicle to travel to the property and around the area. We offer a self catering kitchen for our guests who book the entire house or join us for extended stays. All the basics are here for you, coffee, tea, sugar, flour, basic spices and all kitchen accessories to cook/serve and eat your meals.
