Located on a busy stretch of the famous Cabot Trail we are a 10 min drive to nearby Cheticamp or a 15 min scenic cruise to the National Park. This budget east coast vacation home has 3 cozy Queen bedrooms and is fully-equipped for 6 guests to ensure you and your family or friends have an unforgettable stay in Cape Breton! Please note there is no BBQ, firepit or A/C. Due to cleaning protocols we cannot offer early check-in. Please send us an inquiry if you are travelling with children. You will have the entire 3 bedroom home to yourself. There are three small Queen Bedrooms. You're welcome to use our full kitchen and living room including the Piano and several Board Games. While we do not have cable, we do have a Smart-TV featuring Netflix, Crave, Amazon Prime & MLB.tv. If you want to relax after a long day on the road we do have a small garden and backyard with a few chairs and a hammock. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home at The Green House! You may utilize all areas of the property except the office, basement and closets. We are living just down the road if you require anything. *Depending on Covid-19 progress: Our dog Griffey loves to go on hikes so we encourage you to participate in our daily hikes from the house through the woods and mountains surrounding it. We love to show off some of the best photography spots our area has to offer so let us know if you'd like us to show you around. We're always happy to provide you with local recommendations, travels tips, etc. Located in the scenic Grand Etang/St Joseph Du Moine Area (Point Cross) the house is located next to a Knights of Columbus in a rural neighbourhood. (You can play bingo, darts, or pool with some locals) Nestled in a valley in between the ocean and the highlands the beautiful region is renowned for it's Acadian culture, fishing, and the spectacular views of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Getting here requires a car as there is no public transportation, and it would be required to get around to almost anything. There is a taxi service consisting of one or two people who may be available to take you somewhere, but it is not reliable. The house is set 50' (15m) from Cabot Trail so we are susceptible to noise from vehicular traffic and from the community building which we share a parking lot with. The Wi-Fi signal can be spotty, but we have excellent cell service and can offer you a hotspot with use of our computer in a pinch. Our water comes from a gravity fed mountain spring but the water pressure can be low. We ask that you do not cook Lobster at the house due to an allergy. Late check-in is welcome.
