Le p'tit blanc -- on the Cabot Trail
Located on the awe-inspiring Cabot Trail, Le P'tit Blanc sits on a quaint hill minutes from the entrance of the National Park. Surrounded by peaceful meadows and panoramic views of the highlands, guests are able to retreat and relax while being a short drive from the bars and restaurants of Chéticamp. Only 5 minutes to the beach! There's a General Store that carries everything from groceries to camping supplies (and much more) open late -- only a hop, skip and a jump away from the house. The warm atmosphere, featuring nostalgic nods to the history of the region, is balanced by the modern amenities and contemporary layout. Each room has its own vibe, which flows harmoniously throughout the house. Most rooms have different lighting options and dimmers so that guests can customize the mood to match their tempo. With its rural Cape Breton charm and tons of character, including exposed brick, century old beams and antiques, le P'tit Blanc will surely make your stay extra special. Guests have access to all living spaces of the house. Large green space / lawns can be used to toss a frisbee, football or softball-- play soccer, croquet, or perhaps have a relaxing picnic. Arrangements can also be made to store motorcycles and bicycles in the detached garage. I love my region -- its landscape and culture. I would love to share its secrets with my guests and answer all their questions to make sure their needs are met so they make the most of their stay on Cape Breton island. The neighbourhood is friendly, very safe, quiet, open and airy. Charming little acadian homes are settled around a peaceful estuary, and have views of the gulf of Saint Lawrence and the highlands. Fresh ocean breezes sweep the fields, and the green lawns and gardens that give the house space from the neighbours and a sense of privacy in a tight nit community. Only 7 minutes from the Gypsum Mine swimming hole, 15 minutes from the famous Skyline Trail, and within minutes of countless other hiking trails, waterfalls, whale watching and many other opportunities for adventure. If the weather isn't cooperating or if you prefer to stay in for the day, there is a smart TV in the living room, as well as books and board games to help keep you entertained.
