Old Hillcrest Harbor View House

Imagine a private escape on an Alaskan island where virtuous mountains meet perilous sea, the people are real and seafood is fresh. In one of the close knit houses along the hill above town, a generous number of stairs takes you to a million dollar view, built in the 1940's & remodeled with updates you'll like. Relax on the deck, inhale the fresh sea, active fishing port & town life, or warm-up in the crooked but very cozy & functional home that might remind you of the 'Old Village'. A small one-bedroom will have 2 singleXL luxurious, down comforter, foam beds, a cozy couch, a big kitchen, shower, washer, dryer and last but not least a great deck to soak in everything. The whole house is yours. Enjoy. You will also have pretty close neighbors, locals from around town and they are quiet. I like to give my guests space so you can be independent. I will respond as quickly as I can to your questions and love to hear from you by text or calls. The Cope Street neighborhood is downtown, and on the same street as Best Western Kodiak Inn. Hillcrest is the old road above this BnB that no longer is accessible and is quite overgrown. Nonetheless the official address of this place is Hillcrest. Cope Street will get you there. You can park in front of the house if you have a car. You can walk to town and visit the down town area, museums, visitor centers, restaurants, boat harbor. A little longer across the bridge to Near Island Dog Bay Boat Harbor. And about 2.5 miles to the nearest grocery store at Safeway, though Safeway has a small liquor store with drinks and snacks across from the downtown boat harbor. There are about 35 steps up to the place, so packing lighter might be considered. Parking is on Cope Street and there are some houses with the same address, so I will give you plenty of instructions to avoid confusion.
