The Swan st Cottage

Our quaint, simple little place was built in 1917, moved to the current location from Santa Rita in 1932. Located exactly in the middle of Silver City. It was our family’s first home for 10+ years. Local Artists sell their Art in the home. The hospital and track are near by. We have had the same great, but very close neighbors for over 15 years who watch out for each other. The traffic can be busy on weekdays around 8am and 5pm. Keypad lock and deadbolt security door for safety. Tv doesn’t have cable, it’s a smart TV with ability to stream what you would at home. Well behaved dogs welcome. The whole house I love to get to know others and will be available as much as my family of 6 allows me to. Texting is best. I want to be clear...the houses are close together and Swan Street is one of the busiest streets in town because we are close to the hospital, schools, and track. It is about 1 mile from downtown, however walking along and crossing highway 180 can be stressful. Especially with little ones and pets. There are some places the sidewalk disappears along the way. We have a planet marking on the sidewalk by our front yard from the planet walk that many who pass by stop to read the plaque. If you are looking to be exactly in the center of silver city on a map, then this is the place to be. If you are looking to be in downtown, or in the Gila National Forest, we recommend searching for a place closer to your preference. There is public transportation called Corre Caminos in Silver City. Since we are located exactly in the middle of Silver City, one can walk or ride a bike 2 miles in any direction and be at the end of town. However, keep in mind there is busy traffic on Swan street and highway 180 is a four lane highway you would need to cross at intersections. There are bike lanes in the streets, and a lot of foot traffic in front of the house.
