Our cozy cottage is the perfect retreat if you are looking for privacy and tranquility close to the water. Located in beautiful Lakeshore Heights and backing onto lush forest, this 3 bedroom cottage is perfect for couples and families! Enjoy a private, scenic bonfire, relax in the screen room, or lounge on the deck while our little guests enjoy the backyard play area. Did we mention Grand Beach is only a 7 min drive away?! Come make memories at the lake! The cottage is fully equipped and has everything you need for a convenient, stress-free getaway. There is an eat-in kitchen, 3 pc bathroom and spacious, open-concept living room with a wood stove for those chilly nights. You'll have access to the full half acre yard. Outside you'll find an attached screen room with a cozy reading nook and an attached deck, a front deck, kids play area, fire pit and BBQ (propane included). Because this is also our vacation getaway and we have young children of our own, this place is kid-safe and kid-friendly! Note: new this year, we’ve added a cell booster on premise to help you stay connected! Parking for 3 vehicles including boats and ATV's. The garage is not accessible to our guests. Self-serve check-in and check-out using lockbox Lakeshore Heights is a cottage development situated along the East shores of Lake Winnipeg. It is approximately a one hour drive from the North part of Winnipeg. Within the community you'll find a public beach, 2 children's playgrounds, basketball and volleyball courts. There is plenty to see and do within the general area - there's a boat launch at Balsam Bay marina, world class fishing, plenty of hiking and ATV trails. IMPORTANT NOTE: The cottage backs onto acres and acres of forest which is home to many different types of wild life including bears. We have taken necessary steps to ensure the safety of our guests by removing bird feeders, outdoor garbage bins and providing bear deterrents. We ask that our guests be responsible and do their part in being BEAR SMART. There are many amenities in the nearby communities all accessible by car. Grand Beach Provincial park and its famous boardwalk, Grand Pines Golf Course, South Beach Casino, local restaurants and stores are all just a short drive away (within 10-15 mins). We recommend bringing your bikes as there is much to do and see in the neighborhood along West Street. There are also many trails in the area and a safe and beautiful path to Grand Beach (approximately a 30 min bike ride). This area is heaven for the ATV enthusiasts as there are many, many trails and sand dunes that can get you all the way to Victoria beach and beyond. Unfortunately, there are no taxis or ride sharing available in the area. We provide bedding (sheets, duvets, pillows) and one towel per registered guest only. These are all washed in between every booking. We also use an industrial steam cleaner to disinfect the place including floors, sofas and furniture. Bring your own drinking water and firewood (or wood can be purchased through us at an additional cost)
