San Ángel is a XVI century village nestled in the big Mexico City: its architecture is lovely and still preserve beautiful houses and gardens, and its safe to walk around its unique small alleys and secret spots. During the Viceroyalty in the XVI - XVIII centuries, San Angel was the perfect place for country homes to rest from the city. Walking distance, you will find several museums as the Carrillo Gil Modern Art Museum, the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Studio Museum, the gorgeous Ex-Convento del Carmen Museum, the Mexican Revolutions Museum, la Casa del Risco or the Isidro Fabela House. You cannot miss the Bazaar del Sábado, on Saturdays... just 2 blocks away in Plaza San Jacinto, where local artists and all-around-the-country handcrafts market promenade is really enjoyable. Other nice neighborhoods as Coyoacan or Chimalistac, and the main campus of UNAM (National University) are close enough to visit plenty of cultural spots as the fantastic new MUAC (Contemporary Art Museum). San Angel is well located in the south of Mexico City, with access to main avenues as Periférico, Av. Revolución and Av. de los Insurgentes. Some of the best Restaurants in south Mexico City are walking distance, like the must-visit Restaurant San Angel Inn, settled in a spectacular XV century ex-hacienda. Uber works great in Mexico City: good price and you can get a car really fast in San Angel (less than 10 minutes anytime). Walking by the San Angel streets is safe and nice, and in a few minutes you can get to many restaurants, supermarket, shopping centers, movies and theatre facilities and museums. At 10 minutes walk, you can jump to the Metrobus at Altavista or la Bombilla stations. Metrobus runs all way Av. Insurgentes, the longest South-North Avenue in the City. You can also take the Metro easely from Viveros station (line 3) or Barranca del Muerto station (line 7). The kindness and availability of our team is highly evaluated by our guests: our house keeper, chef, maids and gardener. Most of our long-stays guest consider them as family at the end of their stays. The comfort of our beds, our delicious breakfasts and the location or our house are highly valued details according to our guests reviews. But for us, the most important is you to feel at home while living with us.
