Welcome to our lake cottage, a scenic and peaceful 2 unit escape directly on international Lake Memphremagog and very near the Canadian border. Enjoy stunning and panoramic views, hike and bike, sit around the campfire or fireplace, lounge in the renovated dock house, play games, nap in the hammock, fish, swim, canoe, and kayak. Watch sailboat races, eagles, herons, osprey, hummingbirds, listen to the loons. The beauty here is mesmerizing. This is the perfect place to get away from it all!! This is 1 unit in a 2 unit home and the second unit is owner-occupied. The units are adjoining with a locked door and a hallway separating them. We will be very considerate of your personal space and privacy! The rental unit offers a small but fully-equipped kitchen and new gas grill with private porch seating and dining. There is 1 bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed and also a twin air mattress that can be used in the living room. Use and enjoy the recently renovated and adorable 100 square foot dockhouse that can be a second bedroom - with a full size futon, electricity, tiny bathroom with chemical toilet and wash station, and dead-on lake views! Fall asleep to the sound of the waves! (Come September the dockhouse can get chilly but does have a small space heater, gets closed up by October). There is a one person canoe and a 1 person kayak as well as 2 Funboy floaties available for your use plus a beautiful spacious dock. 1 well-behaved dog is welcome WITH PRIOR NOTICE. Please bring sheets/blankets to protect furniture if bringing a dog. PLEASE NOTE this is an older 1950s home with some vintage/rustic qualities. This is a quiet family neighborhood with nearby neighbors so please no parties or loud events. When on the lake please be aware that lake conditions can change rapidly. 7 night minimum 7/9 - 8/13. Feel free to enjoy the ample out door spaces (we have a full acre) including the deck, dock, fire pit (free wood provided!), hammock, lawn, whatever suits your fancy. We will be considerate of your privacy! The whole dock is installed by late May and taken out late September. This is a quiet family neighborhood and the perfect place to relax and recharge. We also have a home in another part of Vermont but can usually be found at the cottage much of the summer. We have strong and reliable WiFi . When on the lake please be aware that conditions can change quickly and become quite choppy at times. Please be aware that the lawn might be mowed during your stay.
