C(URL HIDDEN) We are within the Proclamation Boundary of the El Yunque national Forest, which is a 28,000 acre nature reserve. All rooms come with private entrance, private bathroom and a mini refrigerator to store drinks and snacks. We also have trails that lead to waterfalls and swimming holes. Renter Agreement and COVID 19 Practices We will be taking the temperature of all guests prior to entry. Anyone with a temperature of 100.3F or higher will not be let in yet asked to seek medical attention. Face masks must be used in public places and when interacting with the hosts and other guests. If you do not have one we will supply you with a mask. A travel and contact tracing form will be filled out for all guests Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the property and within the rooms. Our Check in time is 2:00PM - 8pm and we highly recommend arriving before 5pm. Our check out time is 11:00AM. If you choose to check in after 8pm it must be done with advance notice. Due to limited parking and COVID protocols we can not accommodate early check ins. We are an adult only establishment, we do not accept children. All rooms are designed for couples We recommend that guests stop at a local market before arriving to pick up snacks, drinks. We do not have a public kitchen. All rooms have a small refrigerator and we provide a full two course breakfast every morning. Dining options will depend on how much you would like to drive. There are several dining options about 11 miles into town on the boardwalk overlooking the Caribbean sea. We are located on the south side of the National Park, up a narrow, two lane winding mountain road. A rental car is required as Taxis are not easily available in our area. The road is paved and a regular compact car will suffice. The property is suspended at an elevation of about 1400 ft. on the side of the mountain and the forest surrounds it. We are in the rainforest and therefore it does rain occasionally throughout the day. Cable-TV is not available, which goes with our motto "come here to disconnect and reconnect with nature." Free WiFi is available in the public areas. The signal does not reach inside the guest rooms. Due to our high altitude and the trade winds the property is not air conditioned. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans. On average the temperature at our location is about 10 degrees cooler than the San Juan or Fajardo areas. We are a renewable energy establishment. We have solar panels for electricity and solar hot water. We ask that you help us by not leaving lights or ceiling fans on when not in the rooms. We recycle plastic, aluminum and paper and ask that you help us bringing these items to our recycling bins. We have a linen and towel reuse program in which bed linens and bathroom towels are not changed unless you have a stay of three days or more. Access to the property is exclusively for guests, no external guest is allowed. If you wish to have someone visit you must inform us in advance. We have a dog and a puppy on the property who walks the grounds freely. They are very friendly labs named Obi and Mara. My spouse Florin makes the breakfasts and he asks that all guests let us know of any dietary requirements / allergies and/or foods you absolutely do not like to eat (i.e. Bananas, pineapple, avocados, fish, ham etc).
