Firefly Suite ~ Upscale Off the Grid Cabin inside the Red River Gorge Firefly Suite is an upscale OFF THE GRID getaway with conveniences for those simply looking to enjoy nature’s beauty. The cabin features a beautifully designed interior with oak hardwood floors, naturally lit space, a sleeping loft, and stone fire ring. Our Firefly Suite offers the best combination of modern amenities without forgetting the classic experience of a mountainside cabin. Firefly is an off-grid backcountry cabin that does not have running water, but is equipped battery-powered lanterns and propane appliances.  We hope you’ll enjoy our low-tech approach to a high-quality experience during your stay! Kitchen: Firefly’s kitchen has a gas stove and oven, double sink, french press, cookware, dishware, soap and kitchen linens .  Above the sink you’ll find a 5-gallon water dispenser for your cooking and cleaning needs. We supply two 5-gallon jugs of potable water during your stay.   Living/Dining:  Beside the fireplace is a kitchen table for four, and a futon couch.  Two chairs are out on the porch - enjoy the view! Bathroom: Directly behind Firefly Suite you’ll find a private composting outhouse.  You also have 24 hour access to the guest shower and bathroom at our headquarters at any time during your stay. Bedroom:  Firefly sleeps 6, with two twin beds in the loft upstairs and a full bed and full futon on the main level. Additional Amenities: Small charcoal grill, wall heater, battery-operated lanterns, private porch with seating, and a private fire pit. 4WD and high clearance vehicles are recommended.
