Kingfield Yurt and Breakfast
Welcome! We are hoping you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay adventuring around western Maine. There are many trails to hike, bike and explore. We are very knowledgeable about all the trails and the best places to take in our waterfalls. This is not your average bed and breakfast experience at our "yurt and breakfast". If you're not familiar with what yurts are all about, do a quick search to see what you've been missing out on! We offer a unique experience in the mountains-- offering cozy accommodations and a home cooked breakfast, in the perfect location for all the outdoor activities you can dream of. You will have easy access to miles of mountain bike trails, as well as 10 of Maine's 4,000ft mountain peaks. These adventures (and more) are as close as 2 miles from your very own yurt. If you only have time for a short stay, or outdoor adventures aren’t your cup of tea, we have many cozy amenities for a comfortable stay. Our yurt features a Tuft&Needle mattress for snoozing through the breezy Maine afternoons. Just outside the yurt you’ll find a shady outdoor porch swing and scenic overlook. Or, have a game night and take advantage of our board game nook and cornhole set. While the yurt where you will be sleeping a short walk from the main building, you will have 24 hour access to a half bath from the garage, and you will also have a full bath with shower available during breakfast and evening hours. (7-8:30 AM, 5-6:30 PM). You will also have 24 hour access to our coffee and tea station conveniently located near the half bathroom in the adjacent garage space. (this space also has a small fridge and microwave) I will interact with guests during breakfast hours and am available throughout the day and evening as needed. Our "welcoming committee" black labs Eva and Ally will almost always be available. Although happy to greet you, they are generally quiet and stay within our yard perimeter. They spend their evenings with us inside our home. We are located in a very quiet area off of Rt 27 in Kingfield. The yurt is located outside our residence, approximately a 200 ft walk up from the provided parking area. Please refer to the photos above of the path if you have any concerns. Our yurt is heated for the cooler spring and fall weather.
