Cluaran cottage is a 4-season cottage providing a beautiful view of Scotch Cove with water access and floating dock. It has AC for the summer and a wood stove / heat pump / electric heat for colder weather - it is a cozy spot anytime of year. It is located just 50 minutes from downtown Halifax, 60 minutes from Halifax International Airport, 7 minutes from Chester, 5 minutes from Sensea Nordic Spa and 35 minutes from Ski Martock. The basement has a games room / bar with a shuffleboard table. Driving on to the property, which has plenty of parking for vehicles of all sizes, you'll be greeted by a large yard and spacious front deck. The front deck has seating for eating outside or just lounging to enjoy the beautiful view of Scotch Cove. The cottage has three bedrooms. Bedroom 1, the Blue Lobster room, is a large bedroom with a double bed, 2 closets and a walk out sliding door to a small deck. Bedroom 2, the Llama room, has a double bed - it does not have a closet but has a rack to hang clothing and two folding trays for luggage. Bedroom 3, the Paddle room, has a twin bed with a twin trundle and a closet. All the rooms have dressers. Downstairs has a pull out sofa with queen bed. To provide you with a relaxing and enjoyable experience, you will find the cottage has tasteful decor and amenities. In addition to providing high-end towels and linens, the brand new kitchen is fully stocked with your cooking needs. The pantry has complimentary spices and condiments. Outside you will find a propane bbq. There is a bonfire pit for s’mores and great views of Scotch Cove and Graves island Provincial Park. Use of the washer and dryer is included. The basement is a bar / games room with a full bathroom. There is a shuffleboard table and board games. As well, the bar has a wine fridge. In colder weather, guests can use the wood stove. Spring through fall, we have a private beach with a dock that is perfect for swimming and kayaking. There is also a picnic table on the water. We have 4 kayaks (with life jackets and paddles) that we can make available to guests. We also have a bean bag toss game in the garage. We plan to have a bunkie in the near future for additional sleeping. Pets are welcome with prior permission. Guest(s) have access to the whole cottage - main floor and basement bar / games room. As well, the entire yard and waterfront and floating dock. I will provide my cell number during your stay to ensure everything is pleasurable. The cottage is located on a quiet, private road off the Lighthouse Route. A 7 minute drive to the Village of Chester where you'll find grocery stores, drug store, liquor store, Chester Yacht Club, Chester Golf Course, The Chester Playhouse theatre, the oldest pub in Nova Scotia-The Fo'c'sle Tavern, Rope Loft, KIWI Cafe, White Gate Restaurant, and more... 20 minutes from Oak Island 25 minutes to Mahone Bay 30 minutes from UNESCO World Heritage Site - The Town of Lunenburg 35 minutes to Peggy's Cove
