Located in Poncha Springs- next to High Valley Mtn Bike shuttle, EV charging station, Mountain Sports Haus rental shop, La Grees super market, and near Elevation Beer Co and Vino Salida! This gem is centrally located at the junction of historic Hwy 50 and 285. Only 5 miles to Salida and 14 miles to Monarch Mountain. Poncha Springs STR #21-110 Jack’s hideaway is located in Chaffee County with surrounding views of 14,000 ft mountains, near the Little Arkansas River, and minutes from numerous outdoor recreation activities. You can expect to come into a cozy home that feels like your own. Natural light thrives here with large windows and skylights, making healthy houseplants throughout the home. Stylish touches make this place chic and welcoming. The bedrooms are equipped with extra blankets, pillows, plenty of closet space, room in the dresser , and cozy beds. The kitchen is large and fully equipped for cooking or baking. A dedicated work space in the home including a printer, office supplies, and reliable internet. The living room is the perfect place to sprawl out a map, play a variety of the games provided, read your favorite book, catch up on the news, or just binge watch Netflix. Complete with a pull out sofa, this room can transform into the third bedroom in the evenings. **Please note the wood stove is currently non-operational** The back yard will be open for guests to use with a patio and green lawn. The side yard will be closed to guests as it is currently in various stages of landscaping and gardening. Thank you! Near by activities: Dirt pump track: one block Community Garden: one block High Valley Mtn Bike Shuttle: Ride the Crest!: one block Disc Golf Course: 1/4 mile Bike path trailhead to Salida: 1/2 mile Guests will have access to all parts of the home except for the garage and side yard. The garage will be locked and off limits to guests. The host will occasionally stop by for garage access but will at no time enter the main home or need to interact with guests. The back yard is open for guest use, however the side yard will be off limits until landscaping is complete. The wood stove is currently non-operational until repaired. The stove is not for use during your visit . Wall unit heaters and space heaters are able to heat the home fine without need for the wood stove. I am available via phone and email. Guests will be able to self check in, though I am available to meet at check in to go over questions. Located one block from the town garden and pump track. Market, grocery store, brewery, and great restaurants are within walking distance. A bike is a great way to get around in Chaffee County. There is a bike path all the way into Salida, roughly 5 miles one way. With local restaurants, brewery, wine bar, and grocery within 1 mile, this home is great for walking, cycling, or driving. High Valley Bike Shuttle is located across the street, bring your mountain bikes to ride the Monarch Crest and descend down back to your front door with cold beers waiting in the fridge! This home is near a highway. Though not often noticeable, guests should note the location prior to booking.
