Serene Seaside Retreat: Private Suite

Welcome to our modern home on the south-end of Quadra Island. We are a quiet, nature-loving couple with two friendly dogs on scenic and sacred land facing the Salish Sea & distant snow-capped Coast Range mountains. Kayak, beach-comb or swim at our shore, hike or read a book from our beach. Savour the sights of whales, seals, sea-lions, herons and bald eagles! Guests stay in an adjacent, self-contained suite with french doors opening up to the sea and heated floors. A serene retreat! The self-contained, sound-proof suite with private entrance is adjacent to the main house. It has a kitchenette, which is fine for minor meal prep only. You'll enter your own self-contained, sound-proof suite with queen bed, ensuite, kitchenette, and sitting area with in-floor heat to watch Netflix, read a book or use the desk. You'll also have a portion of the covered deck facing the ocean or chairs at the beach. Minimal interaction yet happy to help with any questions or concerns. We're a ten-minute drive from the ferry terminal to Campbell River at Q Cove and located in the 'deep south' near the end of a quiet, dead-end road. We're a 1 minute walk to the Kay Dubois Trail, a 4.0 Km out and back trail among coastal evergreen trees and along the seaside. The only winery on the island is a short walk from our place and is often open to sit on the patio with a delicious glass of local wine. Parking is conveniently near the house. Bring water shoes if you wish to go in the water as the beach is very rocky with shell fragments... but the water is lovely to swim in! We have kayaks and a stand up board to rent at the beach. We can supply paddles and skirts but please bring your own life jackets.
