Come enjoy our beautiful, spacious, three-bedrooms / three-bathrooms White House located on a small hill overlooking a 180º spectacular panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean! Enjoy the spectacular view from the balcony, or while swimming in the onsite salt-water infinity pool. This listing is for the entire SECOND floor of the house—which has its own main stairway access from the garage. Inside the White House you'll find all the amenities necessary to feel right at home. Both the Sunrise (east) and the Sunset (west) Master Bedrooms each have their own personal/private bathrooms. The 3rd-Bedroom has the bathroom just outside its door. All three rooms have quiet, comfortable mini-split air-conditioners. Additional inflateable Queen mattresses are available to accommodate up to 10 guests in the bedrooms. House will sleep up to 10 people; but featured price is for 6 people. After 6 people, there is an additional $10 per person charge per night. Please be sure to specify the correct quantity of guests since towels, linens and accessories provided are based on the number of guests staying. Fully equipped Kitchen with refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, cookware, cutlery, glassware, plates and even a wine cooler. House is also equipped with both washer & dryer for guests convenience. The TV/Family Room has a large UHD screen television, basic cable and wireless internet service throughout the house. The living, dining and kitchen areas have large windows facing the ocean; spectacular ocean-view Balcony with hammock—perfect for small family activities and viewing the sunrise/sunset/ocean or just watching cruise ships sailing by. Also enjoy the newly installed salt-water, infinity pool with its amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean (use of the pool requires guests to familiarize theirselves with the provided “Pool Rules” and to sign a liability release waiver). (Website hidden by Airbnb) COVID-19 UPDATE!!! * * * Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic—and in an effort to minimize its effects on the Islands’ population, the Governor of Puerto Rico occasionally issues Executive Orders to mitigate the number of casualties. One of the latest Executive Orders prohibits large groups from gathering; and if the authorities detect any such gatherings, they are authorized to investigate and the organizers will be fined and/or jailed. To avoid ruining anyone’s vacation, we ask that all guests please keep attendance to any house activities down to those staying in the house. Beach and local beach bars. Me or my property manager will be available for any questions or suggestions about Mar Chiquita and Puerto Rico. We presently stay in our completely separate studio apartment that is located on the first-floor of the property and can assist with logistics issues. We are in close proximity to a variety of fast-food & dining restaurants, local & international food. We have close-by (walking distance) markets, bakeries and an excellent pizza restaurant; a little further there are CVS & Walgreen stores; there’s even Walmart supercenter in the area. And yes, there are Sam’s & Costco’s in PR. Not too far away there is the Atlantico Casino and the Prime Outlet Mall which host a variety of shops, banks, ATM’s, restaurants and brand-name stores at discount prices; there’s even a movie theater with multiple screens. For fun in the sun, try cave exploring, kayaking, zip-lining, surfing, windsurfing, boogie-boarding, snorkeling, swimming, fishing, horseback riding or a number of other attractions! One of our guests even went skydiving! If you enjoy mountain biking, the Los Tubos MTB trail—which is an XC trail a short bike ride away—is our nearby coastal area mountain bike trail located within the Laguna Tortuguero Nature Reserve; and endorsed by Departamento de Recursos Naturales (DRNA). Although the trail's difficulty is mostly in the "easy" category, there are some off-camber areas. If you enjoy researching the history of Puerto Rico, don’t miss a visit to the carefully rehabilitated historical site Hacienda La Esperanza Nature Reserve—owned and operated by the Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico. This was one of Puerto Rico’s most prosperous sugar plantations during the 19th Century, and here you’ll find the only sugar mill steam engine of its kind in existence, completely restored so you can see it in operation. At La Cueva Las Golondrinas Beach, you’ll find soft ocean breezes, warm turquoise waters, a magnificent view, little caves where the swallows live, iguanas and a magnificent beach well worth the experience of getting there. At Los Tubos Beach you can sunbathe or take a stroll down the sandy beaches; you may also want take a dip in the ocean for a swim, do some boogie-boarding or even surf the waves. You decide, it’s all yours to enjoy! About the only thing you won’t be able to do is play in the snow... yep, sorry... we don’t have that here! At this time, unfortunately there is no public transportation in this area. The best way to get around is to rent a vehicle at the airport upon your arrival on the island; that gives you the most flexibility. Uber transportation is very limited to/from this area; it’s highly recommended to rent a vehicle. We are an approximately 45-minute drive west from San Juan International airport. However, once in the area, there are grocery stores, bakeries and restaurants nearby within reasonable walking distances from the house. If you have questions prior to your trip, we are happy to respond to them at any time. The main attraction is Mar Chiquita beach which is a short walk away . This beach paradise is great for swimming, snorkeling, boogie-boarding or just relaxing in the shade as you watch the waves come and go, or the breathtaking views of the horizon as the sun gently dips into the majestic turquoise Atlantic Ocean. You’re welcome to enjoy a lovely stroll along the beach—while sipping on a Puerto Rican Piña Colada, cup of wine or whatever the beverage of your choice is!
