Budd's Riverside Retreat

Our home is located in a private riverside neighborhood on a dead-end cul-de-sac in Mount Crawford, Va. This cozy efficiency apartment is located only minutes from Harrisonburg and provides easy access to all the local colleges including James Madison University, Bridgewater College and Eastern Mennonite University. We are right in the heart of an outdoor enthusiast's dreams. Come and go through your own private entrance and enjoy full river access. Our place is great for couples, outdoor enthusiasts, college parents or individuals seeking a retreat. There is a separate private basement entrance for a small apartment including a full kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is fully furnished including standard sized refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker and is fully furnished with pots/pans, utensils and dishes. The bathroom is a full bath with a tub/shower combo, with linens included. The apartment is accessible from the patio and includes two sets of five steps. There is one small step from the main living area into the bathroom. Individuals with reduced mobility may have some difficulty accessing the apartment. We have two friendly, energetic dogs who will greet you in the driveway. Their fence does not extend to the patio or apartment, but if you enjoy puppy kisses you are welcome to play with them in the yard! We are located directly on North River. It is a great place for swimming, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, and just relaxing on a nice day. Guests may use the large outdoor patio with grill and fire pit. A locally-owned ice cream parlor and creamery is a short walk away. During your stay we can be found around the house, playing in the yard and river, or just relaxing on the large outdoor patio. We are always reachable if the need arises but respect the privacy our guests may need. You will have your own private entrance and on-site parking. We are a family of four living on the main two floors of the house. Our kitchen is directly above the apartment. We do our best to keep noise to a minimum during our guests' stay. You will hear the pitter-patter of little feet above you, especially around breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are in a small riverside neighborhood where you will often see the kids playing basketball or adults taking a walk through the town. Vehicle, bike, walk, Uber, etc. located right off exit 240 of Interstate 81. With State and National forests only a short drive away you can be hiking up mountains, bike down them, or enjoying a relaxing drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. With Massanutten Resort close by you may want to take some time for a round of golf or enjoy the ski slopes over winter. Downtown Harrisonburg boasts trendy local shops and restaurants, and we are within several miles of multiple vineyards and microbreweries.
