The View. Historic Home on Captains Hill.
Our home is located on upper Water Street "Captains Hill" . The circa 1930's home has a stunning view of Tongass Narrows. Take a short 10 minute walk to town where all the activities are. If you want your stay in Ketchikan to be a great memory then start by staying at The View. With a total remodel of the home five years ago you'll enjoy the old time flavor of hardwood floors, build in cabinets, old time decor with all the new amenities of heated tile floors, large shower stall, electric heat in every room and carpeted stairs. You have your own private entrance to the top floor of the house. I live on the ground floor. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, sitting room/ kitchenette with viewing deck, and a bathroom with shower. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and the third is a bunk bed with a full mattress on bottom and a single on top. You can rent one, two, or all three of the bedrooms. I close reservations when even just one bedroom is rented so that you and your party will be the only renters during the duration of your stay. The daily rate ( check calendar availability for daily rate because it varies) is for two people in one room. If two people want separate rooms an additional $30 per night will be added. Additional guest can occupy the other rooms for $35 per night. The kitchenette does NOT have a STOVE due to insurance regulations but has a mini fridge, micro wave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, plates and all you need for your stay. Washer/dryer, iron and ironing board are available for your convenience. All rooms have TV and wi-fi. ALREADY INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICE IS HOTEL TAX AND CITY TAX. Bathroom, kitchenette , viewing deck and 3 bedrooms are available to reserve. The bathroom is private. The laundry area also accessible. Our home is located on upper Water Street in the historic "Captains Hill" area. The house originally was build for Captain Sunderland in 1930. Water street was a famous location where Salmon and Halibut Captains resided. Bus route is a short 5 minute walk. Central downtown is an easy 10 minute walk where all the activities are. The Plaza Mall is a 10 minute walk in the other direction where you'll find a super market,liquor store, Starbucks and a variety of restaurants. Taxi to these areas is less than $10.
